i moved in, in august....
On the third week all of the sudden we had fleas ..
but NO pets...
She said it was my fault that i brought the fleas in... she was having a bad reaction to them.. it didnt help she wouldnt stop scratching... as soon as we found that out we agreed to do some kind of raid treatment.. and i told her what we needed.. and when she went to the store she only wanted ALCOHOL...i went out and bought the carpet spray.. and then had to bassically drag her to the store to get the bug bomb..
meanwhile she thought i was laughing at her because my face was in disbelief that we had FLEAS and no PETS..
She Said "would it be funny if i had to go to the hospital, and you had to pay the bill" i told her i wasnt laughing at her!!! But an argument started anyway..
After we put the bombs she had a problem with my housecleaning... and i agreed i would change these certain things.. then the flea thing was still my fault so there was another argument

File a complaint with a small claims court. Keep all your documents, banbk statements and receipts as evidence. You don't mention how much money you are out.

Have you made the landlord aware of your problems? Do other neighbors have flea problems? Did he get paid for your rent? Are you on the lease agreement? These are some things you need to find out.

Did they sign a lease? if so, then the words of the lease practice as long because it does not violate any regulations. you ought to probably save each and every of the money and cause them to pay lease till you hit upon a clean tenant yet you will ought to examine your community regulations to work out if there are any computerized exceptions considering the fact that they in no way surely moved in (you will ought to refund the deposit yet you are able to hold it till they have paid each and every of the lease they finally end up owing). in the event that they did no longer sign a lease then it replaced right into a month-to-month settlement and that they owe for 30 days which ability you maintain the a million month of lease and refund the deposit.

I don't think she can keep your money. I don't see how she can prove that you brought the fleas. I would contact a lawyer, ( I know it will be expensive) and see what you're rights are.

Get your remaining balance back and move out. There'll be more trouble to come when more things go wrong. It's very wrong to stay with such a person.
