I was watching the news and I saw a clip of a high school girl wanting to get breast implants just to fit in. Is this the new trend now? How sad is this!? Is there anyone out there with real breasts anymore?
I just want to get some opinions on this. Are you really feeling the pressure to get them?

They are testing a new way for women to grow their own breasts. I don't feel pressured but I would like some nice boobs.

Apparently, breast implants are the new graduation present for girls.
"Oh honey, we're so proud of you for making it through high school that we bought you some new boobs..."
Sad!!!

Well, I'm not feeling any pressure to get them.
(Of course, I'm not a girl.) But, it's a reality --
and definitely a sad one -- that kids want to do
things radical to feel they "fit in with the crowd."

I remember a anti-smoking ad, from when I was
a kid, that featured Yogi Bear. He told his friend
Boo-Boo: "Kids smoke because they think it
makes them look grown-up."

Very true. Lack of parental guidance, though, is
responsible, too.

I took a quick poll of my daughter and her friends- all 17- and they said "no way!". None of them know anyone that's had implants and none of them want them- they are of varying breast size.
