I myself have visited Starbuck's from time to time when I can't find a mom and pop coffee house, but most people I talk to say that Starbuck's coffee does not even taste good. I try to go to a small locally owned shop when I can. I have seen so many small business owners of coffee houses fold their business because a Starbuck's moves in right next door and those who were once loyal patrons of the small business start going to the Starbuck's and contribute to the fold of the small guy. What is it about Starbuck's that people like so much?

I know that i left my diamond ring on the bedside table but when i rang the next day they said it had not been found. How can this be possible. I once left a pair of pyjamas in the same hotel chain and they apparently did not find these either!!

I know I will probily get blasted but we created this dependency. I know far to many people who could work but choose to get county checks.
Did you know that you can reason with yourself and justify anything? There are very few on the system compared to all that recieve benifits who really needs it.

If National welfare was closing in 3 months with a requalifying by medical exam for Medicaid. There would be a mass re-employment and the people will find a way to survive.

I would like someone to help me understand how or why people like the Palistinians think they should be able to have their own country or land when they can't even come to a universal agreement let alone stick to it. If you can't support yourself or come to an agreement how can you expect people to believe your "cause" let alone take you seriously enough to let you run your own terroritory. One day they'll hate jews & christrian the next just jews then the next they'll hate the jews & want to fight then the next they won't fight & want to work for peace. They have so many groups it's hard to follow how they expect anything to get done. It seems like but in Lebonnan & even Isreal the Palestinans can't make up their minds as to what group or groups they support today. Actually ... nevermind I really dont care LOL let them kill each other for whatever reasons or group they support today in the end the enemy of my enemy is my friend & its one less terrorist either way....

(Please keep the off-topic ranting to a minimum. No “Jesus died on the Cross for you, witness Corinthians, Mark, Luke …blah, blah”...Zzzzzzz. That’s why I haven’t posted this in Religion and Spirituality; as well as believing it has wider ramifications for society.)

To put this into context, most Christians wouldn’t have a problem with, say, Satanists or Wiccans being prevented from inculcating their children with their beliefs and values, why shouldn’t this apply to all faiths? Aren’t matters of personal faith too important to be left to others, even our parents? At 18, at least we could decide for ourselves. Even if it might be impossible to enforce in practice, shouldn’t society support the right of individuals to make up their own mind at a more appropriate age? We do it for cigarettes and alcohol, why not religion?

I am African American and I sometimes wish I weren't. I do everything right. I went to college and graduate school, I pay my bills, I don't bother anyone, but I still find myself a victim of racism. The racism I suffer is not always at the hands of white people either. Some African Americans treat me with disdain as well. I never did anything to anyone and I just wonder if there is anyone else out there like me.
