If there is poverty in the world (E.G. Kenya) why don't they just leave the area where they are living?

Where would they go? Every country in the word guards its borders and would not allow a population of one country to swamp the population of another. If there were no borders how long do you think the invaded population would allow people to take over their country? The world is too crowded now for that solution to work. Sorry, no vacancy, trespassers will be shot.

Although in Africa, Kenya and the rest are separate countires. That's why quite often relief camps are on borders. They are subject to the same immigration controls as everywhere else and can be huge distances apart making it virtually impossible, for people who have nothing in the first place, to travel.

Right, consider you have no money and no food. How are you going to 'leave' Kenya and go somewhere else?

How would you know where to go? How would you have enough food, water, shelter, etc.

If only it was that simple. If they are poor they won't have the money and resources to leave.

Also don't make assumptions that everyone living in poor countries are unhappy. Leaving your family or children to move to another country must be the hardest thing to do.
