According to the Apostle Paul, women should keep their hair covered when praying to God.
Not sure about the National anthem.

I think women are actually expected to wear hats in church. Somewhat like in Islam. Modesty for women requiring hats, but respectfulness from men requiring taking them off. I do not see women wearing hats at events where the national anthem is played, so I don't know about that but maybe respectfulness trumps modesty and they would be expected to take off a hat in that case.

Not sure about the national anthem. But I know the church I attend women live to wear hats to church. It all apart of the outfit.
