Why wasn't most all of Italy rebuilt after the war...There was parts in South Italy that did not get repaired..Was it because it was a old part of Italy anyway. That was for the most part not used anymore or ?. I think after World War II, they should have been allowed a special International grant to restore buildings. Also in poland and other countries badly damaged....

I'm just wondering, cause after reading some questions is like Americans don't even really have an international section on their newspaper. Well probably a middle-east crisis section instead of the international one.

Some questions only pertain to smokers, some to non-smokers, and some pertain to smokers AND non-smokers.

If you don't feel comfortable answering certain questions, just leave them blank.

1) Are you a smoker?
2) Do you want to quit?
3) Have you tried to quit and have you suceeded or not?
4) Do you care if a loved one (friend, parent, child, sibling, lover, grandparent) smokes?
5) Do you think that smoking should be banned in public places like offices, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and airports?
6) Do you now smoke in public places?
7) Do you think that secondhand smoke (SHS) is harmful to health?
8) If you DON't smoke, do your loved ones smoke in your presence (if they are smokers)?
9) Do you smoke in front of loved ones who don't smoke?
10) Which do you think is safest: pipes, cigarettes, cigars, or chewing tobacco?

Demgraphics:
How old are you?

are you passionate about, and why?

For me, several things - but the main one I would say is fighting (global) poverty. Why? Because I see it as the biggest, most significant and damaging issue facing humanity today because such a huge proportion of the people in our world(mainly children, and women) live in extreme poverty.

"Get him!" Or "Kill him!" Or "Do you see him? Where did he go?" Why does it have to be a "he" or a "him?" Why can't the thing be a girl? There are girl insects you know. ( ^ _ ^ )

Meaning evidence has no effect on your faith. Look at how other nations view him. Look at the polls for the past two years. I know you will blame it on 'a few liberal media types', but that shows just how willing to ignore facts you really are.

Guys, please don't reply if you make a joke out of this question. I've heard a lot about development in India when i was abroad in US (i lived in US for a little over 7 years). I was very happy to hear about it.
But when i landed in India recently for my sister's marriage, i've seen a tremendous amount of corruption in India, right from the customs officer to the cops. How did this happen? I've seen no ethics in the society, horrible traffic ethics, people cheating one another, people just resorting to any sort of actions for the sake of money. What really happened in India all these years? Is economic and technological developments sufficient for a country's growth without any etiquette in the society?
I started discussing these issues with my friends and colleagues in India and to my astonishment nobody seems to show interest in the development of India. Can the system ever change? Will India be ethically and morally (along with economically, technologically) advanced country ever?

ok, let's put you in my shoes. You're 18 yearss old. You're going to buy your first car with the money you've earned from your first job.

If you were me, which Ford Mustang will you buy? A '60s one or the new ones?

Me, it's a pretty tough choice. I love both of them, but can't make up my mind of which one to buy.

I'm afraid I'll be called a old man at school for riding in a old Mustang.

I'm kind of a old school dude. I dig classic films, The Beatles, and Ford Mustangs. But, I don't dress like I'm from the past.

I'm not trying to buy a sports car just to empress the ladies at school. I just like Mustangs. The way they're designed and stuff. Mustangs are cool. I don't care what people say. The Ford Mustang is "The American Muscle Car".

Steve McQueen starred in the movie "Bullitt" in 1968. In the movie, there was this car chase scene and Mcqueen was riding in a '60s Mustang chasing after the bad guys. Back then the old Mustangs were cool. Are they still cool today?

Are we better off after womens liberation? Of course the quick answer as concerns women is yes. Then again maybe not. At one time women forfeited their life of selfish ambition/gratification in humble servitude to the ones that they loved.
My personal unsubstatiated opinion is that they were happier and more fulfilled for it.
Women nowadays embrace the very culture that renders their only value according to what they look like and how much money that they make. The most respected women in my life were home makers.
Then again, maybe what drove women to seek relief from the traditional marraige was mens failure as a leader, father and a husband and their abuse of the stead that they were charged with.
Maybe Im just biased, Id rather have homemade fried chicken than drive a nicer car. LOL

I come from a family of construction workers (roads, buildings, parts, etc.) currently I'm working as a garbage man. I've noticed that 75+% of people who seem to have nicer things (house, car, etc.) give me dirty or condemning looks when I'm working. I usually have a pleasant attitude at work both now and when I've done other forms of construction. My big problem with this is that without the "blue collar" workers society would fall apart, there would be no buildings, roads, or anything really but we rarely make good money and a lot of us struggle to get by. So what's the deal?

I'm white and definitely NOT racist. I live in Oakland and there are many different ethnicities of people here. I'm riding my bike to school today and a black guy says "What are you looking at WHITE BOY?!" I didn't even look at this guy. I ignore it at first and ride on. Then I hear him going "What!?" as if calling me out. I looked back and saw him yelling at me. I flipped him off. So i park my bike, and turn to see this guy has chased me down and he comes up saying "what's up man why'd you flip me off?" "Cuz your talking sh*it." I say. He lies and says he was not talking to me, though i saw him looking at me. I tell him I'm sorry and offer to shake hands. He says "nah uh your in trouble now". I say "Look man what you said was f*in racist! I don't care who you were talking too, it offended me!" I'm holding my bike U lock, he says "thats crazy man" and walks off. I've been harassed for being white 4 times in 2 weeks! There is a problem with black VS white racism in this country!
