I'm white and definitely NOT racist. I live in Oakland and there are many different ethnicities of people here. I'm riding my bike to school today and a black guy says "What are you looking at WHITE BOY?!" I didn't even look at this guy. I ignore it at first and ride on. Then I hear him going "What!?" as if calling me out. I looked back and saw him yelling at me. I flipped him off. So i park my bike, and turn to see this guy has chased me down and he comes up saying "what's up man why'd you flip me off?" "Cuz your talking sh*it." I say. He lies and says he was not talking to me, though i saw him looking at me. I tell him I'm sorry and offer to shake hands. He says "nah uh your in trouble now". I say "Look man what you said was f*in racist! I don't care who you were talking too, it offended me!" I'm holding my bike U lock, he says "thats crazy man" and walks off. I've been harassed for being white 4 times in 2 weeks! There is a problem with black VS white racism in this country!

I know the whites enslaved the blacks for hundreds of years. But in the 60's our for fathers made peace! It was called the Civil Rights Act! Racist blacks are an insult to all the really nice blacks i know. I know there is also a problem with white vs black racism, but unless we both stop fighting it will never end. I MEAN COME ON! I know most of these guys have this gangster mentality, but thats racist also! So now young african americans learn from people like NWA and Warren G.

i believe there is a SERIOUS problem with racism in America. Black racism seems to have become an issue more and more, with terms like "honkey" and so on, creating what some refer to as the "black power attitude". I believe racism is present on both sides, and not just between whites and blacks - active discrimination is found against many groups/minorities. However what happened to you shows that this attitude has reached a point of striking unprovoked attacks. After all we've been through to change this, it is truly disturbing.

I do. I think that it is just as bad if not worse than white versus black racism. In my opinion there is always going to be racism in general it is just part of human nature to be suspicious of things that are different. I think that most white people today are not racist. It is probably fair to say that most blacks are also not racists. The true danger between the races is liberals and socialists. I know it sounds like the beginning of a rant right? Really though who are the ones constantly bringing up race. It is either black "leaders" like Sharpton and Jackson or white liberal Democrats. Theses are the people that brought us "hyphenated-Americans" for example. The real danger in race relations today is "industrialized racism" also brought to us by liberals and socialists. What I mean by "industrialized racism" is things like quotas. How many areas are there where people ask how many whites are working here or enrolled here? In my opinion we need to ignore agenda driven liberal democrats and instead of always focusing on how we are different focus on just being ourselves as individuals. Clothing labels like FUBU and "artist" such as gangster rappers do nothing but exploit differences, in the case of FUBU, and create conformity through intimidation, in the case of gangster rappers. Honestly, regardless of color we all need to simply focus more on who we are as individuals and the welfare of our own families. Speaking as a father what America needs is a lot more good fathers and a lot less government involvement.

A 7 year old black boy was painted white with water colour by his schoolmates (also blacks) in a prank, after school . When he got home, his mother gave him a spank and a hell of scrubbing. His father whacked the boy, for not showing he' s man enough ........ to stop the bullies.
After the stream of scrubbing, scolding lectures and ordeal, the 7 year old muttered " I have been a white for less than an hour and you fellas are already giving me, a hell of a life".

It's been there on both sides for years. I'm sorry you had to experience that. Although you probably shouldn't have flipped the guy off I'm glad you stood your ground. I probably would have just ignored it, but sometimes that's just enabling.

Who says this is only the rustic? only through fact they use the rustic as an occasion would not advise they have eradicated another u . s . on the planet as being appropriate. i might think of that one seem at South Africa might particularly plenty invalidate this fact.
