I'd say most people in the world don't bathe or shower every day. It's a waste of resources, and a real luxury.

That is terrible xenophobic. European people are very clean. It is true that most do not shower every day, it isn't really necessary. Americans are positively sterile, most of us shower frequently and some even shower more than once a day. There are cultures that bathe maybe a few times in life, and we are at the other end of that spectrum. Europeans join us at the more frequent end. Many shower daily but it really is a terrible waste of resources and as I said isn't necessary and may actually be damaging to the skin.

i lived in a place where they took group showers at bath houses on sunday. it's like an all day event, fun time. wierd. sit in a bath and play chinese chess, like a russian bath house, took a new meaning in ny in the 70's though, but that's normal bathing in some places. much of the world has less than that. britain has lots of plumbing.

I don't bathe daily, and I'm in Texas - I never *knew* I was British... Scotts, Irish, Dutch, yes... British, rather far down the list. Not that there's anything wrong with that. What's with this question, anyway?
