a lot of fresh high school grad students in the Philippines choose nursing as a course in college. what can you say about this? is it really their dream or their parents' dream? are they actually passionate about this? and if they are passionate about this, are they willing to stay in the country and serve the Filipino people?or are they just cash-driven?

nursing students are very much welcome to comment about this...

In some cases it's the decision of their parents, or their benefactors. I am Filipino. My cousins are nursing students and my sister is a nursing graduate.

Sometimes I notice a lot of Filipino youths are taking up Nursing not because of the passion to serve the sick and the needy, but because of overseas job opportunities and, hence, "big, green bucks." CASH-DRIVEN, as you say.

Nurses will always be needed until the end of time. I don't think there can ever be enough nurses. I don't really know because I live in American and I don't know the sitution.
