My flatmate was in bad mood with me so she told me not to ign ore her and when I went into my room she followed me althought I told her to go away she didnt listen so I puhsed her lightly in assertiveway...I felt like she was provoking me...She leaves in one week and I feel she had no right...I said sorry next day..But then we start to talk about deposit and she was sometimes ignoring me and I was so basically fed up of her I started shouting....Anyway I told her I didnt want to keep deposit and then I sent text to say I was sorry for rsuch a rifdiculous situation..

I feel like she must be happy to upset me before she leaves..

What do u think?

Over last two days it was only me who said sorry but she acts like she is really hard done by im just so sick of it...if i wanted to ignore her when she started to argue I had the right....??????

Took my little sister to the zoo yesterday. I was so disgusted by the people throwing things at the animals, just to get their attention for a picture. I really wanted to open their enclosures, and let them take down a few people. Animals seem less wicked than humans. The lions were roaring, the bears were wrestling each other, the monkeys were digging up their butts, then smelling their fingers; but they were all more civilized than most of the people there.

You see such comments everywhere here on the net. Are really so many American so easily fooled that you can tip them over into stupidity just by hinting to a conspiracy?

Really, it's like people are dying everywhere and everyday, even the U.S. soldiers in Iraq. And people are saying that we should have stricter gun laws, which won't make a difference at all because people can get guns anywhere like from friends or family relatives.

I know this is a generalization, but all my girlfriends have been foreign because all the American women I meet are so superficial and selfish. I'm American myself with foreign parents.. maybe thats why? Just a thought.. love to hear opinions on this.

...were asked by immigrants. Some talked about Americans and how stupid they think we are and all of the bad choices they say we make. Why do those people go out of their way to criticize their adopted country (America)? I mean, what country doesn't have problems?---Now, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that all immigrants talk like this, because I know they don't.

I don't mind the cold, first off. All the things I've seen about the town look really cool and fun. Anyone live in Aspen that might be able to tell me some downsides to living there?

What, in your opinion, is the strongest and most powerful word in the English language? I think that "reality" is the most powerful word, in any language, for "reality" sums up everything that is, everything that we see, observe, comprehend, etc. Everything that is, is reality. Now, existence is also up there. What do you think?

Here are some questions that have to do with the main topic question above:
1. According to your studies, what do you think is the “best way” to raise children?
2. What are a lot of the similiarities with raising children in different cultures?
3. What are some of the differences? (Asian v. American, etc. for example)
4. What are some of different traits that different cultures value in children?
With questions 2 and 3 please include what you know about the types of discipline, rewarding systems, strictness, etc ( example: In American culture children get more freedom as they grow older whereas in Japanese culture children are more restricted)
5. Any additional information or recommended resources you would like to add.

I just read an article basically saying that the Duggard family, often featured on TLC and have 16 kids biologically, are horrible people for having that many children. Now my question doesn't refer to that many children necessarily, but over 5 at least. Do you feel that is wrong or irresponsible, and if so, why? I know a lot of people say that it is wrong for environmental reasons, but isn't it worse to have two vehicles and not save power, buy bottled water, and whatever else?
