...were asked by immigrants. Some talked about Americans and how stupid they think we are and all of the bad choices they say we make. Why do those people go out of their way to criticize their adopted country (America)? I mean, what country doesn't have problems?---Now, don't get me wrong. I am not saying that all immigrants talk like this, because I know they don't.

Maybe they are trying to fit in, and start complaining like a local. Maybe it's a reaction to being away from their own country and feeling homesick. Maybe it's a sense of disappointment when you find that your new country doesn't have all the answers, and the streets aren't paved with gold.

We have felt all of the above in our new country, Canada. We have met others who for some reason thought that life would be 100% fantastic in a new country, but have discovered that all the unhappiness and negative thoughts they had in their old country have just followed them, they don't realise that you have to put effort into adapting to a new situation, and take the opportunity to change yourself a little to.

how do you know they were immigrants? they could be trolls or foreigners.
