Took my little sister to the zoo yesterday. I was so disgusted by the people throwing things at the animals, just to get their attention for a picture. I really wanted to open their enclosures, and let them take down a few people. Animals seem less wicked than humans. The lions were roaring, the bears were wrestling each other, the monkeys were digging up their butts, then smelling their fingers; but they were all more civilized than most of the people there.

I really like your question, and it is one close to my heart. No! it is definitely not wrong to like animals more - we humans think that we are the superior species, and this encourages us to feel as though we can treat "lesser" species with disrespect and inhumanity. We are not really very evolved beings for the amount of time we have had to develop our higher senses.
I absolutely detest zoos ! This is just another manifestation of our cruelty and insensitivity to the true nature of animals. I find them to be loyal and very forgiving - unlike we humans. The wild animals are magnificent and proud. Are you from USA? Because Americans have this killing gene for any animal in their gun sights. Every book I read, whether fact or fiction, will always get down to the macho joy of hunting animals - whether they are defencless deer, moose, ducks, birds - of the wonderful bears over there. This is my soapbox upon which I stand - the protection of ALL animals, great and small.
I do not hold out much hope for our salvation though - we are too arrogant.

It's true what you say but some people have so many problems with human people that they prefer animal. I love animal but like a cat or dog and i can explain why that kind of animal is so irresistible. If you have never affection the cat they give you some affection dog too. But one time i fall in my bath room and my cat come to see me and start to miaow and the neighbour come at my place and he find me in my bath room if my cat was not their it sure that i was die because i loose conscience and i hurt my head on the toilet bowl. It's a good reason to have some affection for my cat, what do you think about this? P.S sorry for my bad English but i try to learn and have a nice day.

NEWS FLASH!!! Any one of those animals gets out they will tear up your butt also. I do have to admit that some times animals seem kinder than humans. EXCEPT when the cows get out of the pasture at 3:00 am and they tear up the neighbors yard and garden.

not at all because some people can be worse than animals. animals can roar and wrestle and be dirty all they want because they were made to do those things whereas us humans were made to be of service to the better of the world. we weren't made to act like animals which some of us do so i think it's okay to like animals better than people sometimes.

you are so right ,i love animals too ,i would rather spend time with my dog &cat than to visit with people ,not all the time but most of the time they dont ask for much they love you unconditionally,they dont fuss at you ,they dont make you feel bad about yourself ,they dont ask for money ,they dont ask to borrow your car and bring it back on empty,they dont care what you look like ,they love you the same no matter what you look like or what your wearing ,they dont tell that your shoes dont go with your outfit,they cant shoot you or stabe you,you controll them not the other way around,pets are the best friend you can ever have ,i only wish they could have longer lives .i agree with you 100%.

You have just been with the animals for about 10 minutes maybe, you can afford to claim that the animals are more civilized than man. Your IQ is very low , very much below the average.
You can afford to say civilized to the wild animals who will even kill you the moment they can go astray from their fences./cages.?
I say, I could understand that you are not belong to mankind and you belong to the animal kingdom and that include all your nearest kin who say same thing with you. Sorry for this it came from yourself.
