I was horrified to find out that Tesco, a UK based company, now sell live turtles and frogs in their supermarkets in China. Worst than this, they allow their customers to take live turtles away to kill in any way they wish.

I was confused as to why the UK based company did not take its UK standards and values to China, one would have thought that they would have wanted to educate in food hygiene standards and promote animal welfare.

Others feel the same here, in a very short time over 2,000 have signed a Petition voicing objection.

obviously i have to ignore the stereotyping, but its very sad and pathetic to hear ppl make ignorant racist stereotypes. ive seen questions like "black women have the worst attitudes; black girls are all on welfare and pregnant and the men are all in jail; hispanics talk too much and pop out kids everywhere; hispanics are always hopping the border and stealing jobs; jewish(even though thats not actually a race) ppl cant be trusted, etc." to begin with you sound like a moron when saying these things because theres no way you can know every person of every group in a country or the world. most ppl just feed off of what they see in the media which negatively potrays minorities in general and then when they see that same image in society - they think "oh it must be true!". whatever...im black btw. i only date outside my race parents work and spoil me, dads never been to jail, go 2 private school, know lots of ppl that dont exemplify stereotypes, live in the suburbs, etc.

Seems to me like we should be taking care of home first. Is it justifiable to be spending billions on space travel when there are kids in the inner city who can barely read and people living in extreme poverty? What do you think?

I am way to nice, people can ask me for help anytime and I go flying across the world (literally) to help them. People ask me to trust them and I trust them. I think that friendship is golden and find out it’s not the same to everyone. Every time I tell myself it is the last time I am going to be fooled, then the phone rings at 3 am from a sobbing friend and there I go playing superfriend. And when I ask for help, it is way too much effort for anyone to be there for me. Yes, I know, I am not surrounded by the right people. How can I toughen up? Any article out there, something long and precise I can read so it goes well inside my brain? Should I go boxing or something ? Seems I like to be hit anyways!

In my opinion, I don't think that we should take out "In God We Trust", I think that people only do it so they can annoy people or something, taking out the phraase is taking out part of our history.

civil rights infringements? And I am not talking about civile rights affecting 'blacks', I am talking about civil rights infringements on all Americans? Do you think the younger generations will ever be proactive on a large scale in speaking out about civil rights violations or other issues they disagree with? I am talking about on the scale of Vietnam War protests, sit-ins, demonstrations etc.

I am just curious because it seems like our governing bodies are becoming more and more unchecked and none of the people are protesting or trying to change anything(ex: the 2000 elections, lies/corruption to do with the war, gov. not addressing global warming issues, etc). Have we completely forgotten about the past struggles that people have gone through and we think we can't make a difference or have we just become so complacent that we don't care?

to check them out, they get all defensive and annoyed? I don't bloody get it, I mean i like looking, and observing at good looking girls, meaning I admire when they're looking all dolled up, then u get girls when u check em out, they either give u a dirty, or get defensive..I mean I personally don't stare them out, but look for a bit to admire, smile if they look, or just look away if they don't make eye contact.......
