Two weeks ago in my African-History class, our professor asked, "Do you think that African-Americans are genetically inferior to whites?" "No, we are genetically superior because of the melanin in our school," some misinformed female replied. A lot of people looked shocked when she said this. I wanted to raise my hand and say, "That is psuedo scientific nonsense; the notion of black supremacy is just as bad as he notion of white supremacy," but being the introverted person that I am, I didn't. I am an African-American male who doesn't agree with this nonsense, and from the look on the faces of African-American students and white students alike in the class, I don't think most of them believed it either.

Just curious as to why 'anti-abortion' people do make more of an effort to help these people. Adopting would also give anti-abortion people the chance to give hope to some of the weakest members of society and also give them the chance to influence the moral values of the adoptees.

People who believe in helping stray animals are usually willing to adopt them. People who eat like a vegan are also willing to take animals as pets. Why is it that people who are 'anti-abrotion' do not adopt a child to add to their own family? It would seem to me that if every anti-abortion person out there adopted a child the world would be a lot better off.

I'm not anti-abortion but if abortion became illegal I would accept it. My point is that the issues seems to be bigger than just stopping abortion. It seems easy to say you believe in something but how many people really are willing to get involved?

Why do some people feel the need to start cussing people out during a discussion just because they disagree with someone else? I mean, for me, it's MUCH easier to take someone seriously when they state their disagreements respectfully and reasonably. When someone gets upset and starts cussing like a sailor, it's like a child throwing a fit. I mean, do people really get THAT upset just because someone doesn't agree with them? It's sad.

I saw the movie, Notes on a Scandal and I noticed a pack of cigs that said really big "Smoking Kills". Do they really say that 'cause in the U.S. we just have a small warning on the side of the pack that isn't quite to the point. It is true that smoking does kill so I'm not against it. By the way, that was a great movie! Another question, what does "Dame" mean? They call Judi Dench "Dame Judi Dench" and I was just curious about the title. It is kind of like Sir Elton John?

Morbid question, I know, but my mom told me that she interviewed a Russian Holocaust victim who told about a woman selling pots of meat.
