President Bush and Congress awarded the Tuskegee Airmen one of the nation's highest honors Thursday for fighting to defend their country even as they faced bigotry at home.

"For all the unreturned salutes and unforgivable indignities ... I salute you for your service to the United States of America," Bush told the legendary black aviators, standing in salute as some 300 of them stood to return the gesture.

At a ceremony in the sun-filled Capitol Rotunda, Bush then joined congressional leaders and other dignitaries in awarding the veterans — most of them in their 80s — the Congressional Gold Medal.

Like recently, there were about 100 people coming to the US on a boat, and at least one body was found on the shore, and they were looking for more. We're going to send them back to their own country. Now if they are trying to leave their country like that...and risk their lives, than stay where they are, then why doesn't someone help their country?

But if we would step in to help them out, we would look like bad guys, sticking our nose into everything.

Why do alot of people(countries) make the USA out to be "bad guys"?

Only call when they want something or have some type of drama going on in their lives? You don't hear from these people in what seems to be a bazillion years. Then out of the blue they call and it's not to say "hello" or "how are ya?" Why is that? I Feel like dropping them off in my wake. Fat heads. :(

It always seems like they're shouting or trying to force they're opinion, it's ok when they actually are shouting but when people answer just a normal question it reminds me of an old man who's hard of hearing. Its just one of those petty things that bug me...!
