And whites raped the stolen continent called America and it's people. Why are you even asking? You certainly are not African and you don't live in Africa and can't possibly relate. Mind your own country's history and actions and leave the rest alone.

I'm still stumped by this. I guess they're still looking at the racial aspect of it, living in 1980, and not realizing for some reason that 27 years later this guy is as bad if not worse than Idi Amin. Maybe Mbeki and Mugabe are best friends or something, because Mbeki and the other Southern African leaders totally caved on Thursday during their summit, with the notion that dialogue was going to solve this (dialogue's kind of tough when some ZANU-PF thug is beating you with an iron rod) and that the West needs to lift its restrictions (as if it's the West's fault that unemployment is 80%, there's 1700% inflation, and Zimbabwe can't even feed its own people any more, when it was once the breadbasket of Africa) so that Mrs. Mugabe can go back to London or Paris and spend millions of dollars Zimbabwe doesn't have.
By basically snubing their nose at the West in this summit, the West should now wash its hands of the situation. Let Southern Africa deal with the continual tragedy that is Zimbabwe and let them handle the flood of refugees that contunally pour across their borders (mostly black refugees, victims of a black Hitler). Stop blaming the white man for the thug called Mugabe that preys on his own people to keep himself in power as long as possible.

Gutless, racist bastards. Mugabe has destroyed Zimbabwe and turned a country that fed its neighbors into a pit of corruption and an economic basket case. Mugabe rules with his bizarre cult of personality and the African leaders who support him are enabling him to continue the road to ruin he has led his country on for 20 years. Gutless fools.

hi. i am from South Africa. i wish we knew the answer to this one. and why only now has our president Thabo Mbeki spoken out in response to recent events. i hate to answer a question with a question, but how is it that they cannot just chuck him out of parlament? i have an idea it has to do with the history of black and white in this land. i soppose its hard for a black president to admit that his black counter-part is creating havoc. his black counter-part will scream back 'you are a black brother like me- you must support me!!'- its a serious matter, and many inocents are dying as a result. hopefully it will resolve soonest!
