Like recently, there were about 100 people coming to the US on a boat, and at least one body was found on the shore, and they were looking for more. We're going to send them back to their own country. Now if they are trying to leave their country like that...and risk their lives, than stay where they are, then why doesn't someone help their country?

But if we would step in to help them out, we would look like bad guys, sticking our nose into everything.

Why do alot of people(countries) make the USA out to be "bad guys"?

Yes USA if steps in to other countries is like a bad guys because :
1)USA steps in to other countries often by force and oppresion
2)USA gives concession to other countries with a commitment for supporting USA's interest in many areas
3)USA in fact did give a bad image example for democracy and freedom and the human rights by attacking Iraq and Afghanistan with so many innocent casualties.
4)USA gives a double standards for developing nuclear energy.USA let Israel for having nuclear weapons but did not allow Iran for having nuclear energy for peace (economic development)
5)USA did not give all kind of assistants without a certain commitment for the sake of the interest of USA itself.
6)The goverment of USA has often told a lie and accusing something without a real fact
