Well there may be many things.
1. He did not change. Its only that you misinterpreted him before. When you first see a person , see if its him or its his circumstances that you are together. OR
2. He does not like formalities. He is just the same. May be the same behaviour of the person would not have hurt you before his success. We are more sensitive to successful people. Its only you expect him to be more formally humble to you now. OR
3. He feels you feel uncomfortable due to the 'gap' between you two. He dont think you are happy with his success. You are just not natural. OR
4. He is very honest. He does not want to show falsely that he is still interested in you. He is the man of his path. OR
5. He wants you to take his success as a slap on your face. Some people play it safe. They dont disregard you unless they get 'something' and keep enduring your misbehaviour. Disregarding you now is their way of taking revenge . OR
6. They are just not big vessels to contain in that much amount. They just forget how to behave. OR
7. God wanted you to rid of that useless fellow and its His artistic way of doing things. Now the blame of 'quitting' lies with that fellow. OR
8. You loved that fellow very much and with his success he has created new friends. You feel like loosing him.
And there could be any other reason......
Let people change. You change yourself only for the good. Think more about yourself than about others. Anybodys succes does not hamper your way. You keep working on yourself slowly and slowly. You too will be required to behave as a successful people, Lets see what do you teach them then.

good ?....but it's not all people ....I have a few of friends who are successful and I am not (yet)...... 3 are still the same but one guy is a major @$$.....guess it just depends on the person.

people let success get to there heads and do not like to remember where they came from............ remembering who you are is who you are..........
