If this man has not said anything hateful directly to you or any of your family members, you do not really know if the information your family was told is true.

If he is not friendly because of your skin color, that his his loss for being so ignorant and uneducated.

If you are really scared of this person, and he is acting in a manner to frighten you, you need to be talking to your parents about it so that they can speak to the police in town; just in case he tries to do anything bad to any of you.

How do you know he has friends who are in the KKK? Are you just assuming this because you are scared?

Do not give this man more power over your life by allowing him to scare you.

Every person is just as entitled to live where they want to in the USA, that is why many people in many wars have died in order to give us all the freedom of choice.

I wish you and your family the best.

Maybe he has had a bad experience with blacks before.

But I still don't see why he should be racist. There is very little justification for his apparent racism, if indeed he hates blacks.

Maybe you should make an effort to be friendly and nice. He may open up after a while. He might be shy or something.

Hope this helps.

Just ignore him and try to avoid contact. Sometimes people like him are all talk, and sometimes they aren't. Try to make friends with all of your other neighbors; I'd be willing to bet that most, if not all, of them don't care what color you are. That way, his own neighbors will turn on him should he ever try anything stupid or say anything racist to you. I'd stick up for you if I lived near you as long as you were a nice person.

My family lived behind someone who told the previous homeowner not to sell to us. It was his problem, not ours. We lived there for 7 years and apparently he threw watermelon seeds in our lawn (showed us, huh?), that was it. His son who was a lot like him one day decided to stop being a neo-nazi, who knows maybe we contributed to that.

I think, you should not let that discourage you. Let him drown in his hate. I think you should Maybe let someone know just in case something suspicious happens..
