Well, my neighbors did that in the town I grew up in CT around 1991. Get this- they also did NOT have a doorknob on the front door. It was just a hole and you could peer in and see the living room. BUT, what ended up happening was that my other neighbor (age 11) and myself (age 13) "broke" into their house because we were obsessed with how strange they were. All we had to do was push on the front door a little and it opened.

All we did was walk around and look at stuff (we didn't touch anything). They had a 3 foot tall crucifix in the living room with huge brown feathers sticking out of the top of it. Every inside doorknob had rosary beads hanging off of them, there was a strange altar in what was supposed to be the dining room which was covered in Virgin Mary stuff, candles and more feathers.

So the answer to the question is YES, but there may be some crazy kids in the neighborhood that want to peak inside your house.

Anywhere where I'll be accepted, as is. Not that I'm fat or ugly, but I'd love a town that just looks at a woman (any woman for that matters) and say "Damnnnnnnnnnn, she's HOT!!!" At least this way I could finally enjoy those donuts that I'm not allowed eating and throw away all the stupid make-up kits that I have all over my house.

I think towns with this sort of trust/respect between people are dying, however, My dad lives in a small town in Oklahoma and still doesnt lock his doors.

yep but they are slowly fading into the distant past.

Towns like duchess in north queeensland australia are a prime example of this, as the world gets smaller the people become less trusting.
