Look, with a lot of money, you will find that lots of people will gravitate to you, and want to be your friend! You will also have lots of women friends. They will hang around your new pool in their skimpy bathing suits, sunbathing in front of you, and they will NEVER call you a creep (to your face!)
Whereas, whenever you see a homeless guy pushing a shopping cart around the streets, he's always by himself! And how many women frolic in skimpy bathing suits around him?? The answer to your question is SO easy my friend.
Thank you, come again!

I'm not the kind of person who has a lot of friends anyway so at this point in my life I'd just take the money.

They're not mutually exclusive.
If I had a choice....well if I had a choice I'd completely freak out, because who's going to offer me a ton of money with a requirement that I have no friends?
And any friends who wouldn't want to hang because I have a lot of money could just kiss my you know what.

What's money worth? Nothing.
What're friends worth? More than that, at least.
I'm lucky to not yet be so cynical that I think money is the same as happiness. Still some belief in the value of other people left.

Friends are very few, sometimes you will meet only one true friend and that's worth more than money to me.
