I was watching this tv show, the swan the other day. If you aren't aware - the programs about "ugly" people who become "beautiful" by cosmetic surgery!

Some of the women have major facial reconstruction. Okay, yeah it makes them feel more confident - but is this right?

What kind of world is this where we can't be ourselves? Where everythings judged on outside appearance and we're so ashamed by our flaws that we change ourselves to be more accepted by society.

Everyone has flaws even the women in magazines

what do you all think about this....and cosmetic surgery etc

Sure it might lead to other drugs, but i honestly dont see the huge harm in it. I have smoked it on and off since i was about 14, and i must say that i would rather smoke that than binge drink. I sometimes do it at night before bed, and its the only thing that helps with pms. But im wondering where you all stand with it?

I'm looking for a fun/interesting part time job. I already work 9-2 at a lawyer's office. I love my job, but I can't work full time there, so I'm trying to work a few hours somewhere else-any ideas? Money really isnt a huge issue-I just need something else to do. I've tried hot jobs and craigslist, etc... but nothing really fits my schedule.

although most of the western ppl i have met and talked with wereEuropian or Europian American, i never find like latins (specially ppl from Mexican and Brazilian roots!) they r really cool and for me (as an Arab from Saudi) its really easy to be familar with these ppl and all my arab friends who met latin ppl be4 they always agree with me on this point. Do u Latins think you have some common sence and habits with Arab more than Europians??

Why do you suppose people are just mean rude on ther road during rush hour? Traffic would just go more smooth if people did not ride each other bumpers and just kept a little bit of space and let other people merge in on the freeways. I notice bigger cities the people are more rude on the road then the smaller cities like Portland or Seattle.

Saying that the black community is in need of new leadership, a NC minister is launching a new "Reality Series" on youtube.com.

This week, Rev. Paul Scott, aka "THe TRUTH Minista", founder of the Durham NC based Messianic Afrikan Nation will launch "America's Next Black Leader." Scott has set up a site on the popular youtube.com video site http://www.youtube.com/group/nextblackleader where people will be able to upload videos telling what they would do if they were America's Next Black leader.

"Many of the established leaders are out of touch with the Hip Hop generation, its time for a change," says Scott.

Scott says that people can upload speeches, raps or poems expressing their visions for the future of African Americans. He says that he especially wants people to submit videos showing them performing acts that will improve the community. Viewers will be able to vote on the videos and the most popular will be chosen on 4/4, which is the anniversary of the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"So if you think that you are "sharper than Sharpton" "have more action than Jackson" "can bring more drama than Obama" then join the competition for America's next black leader," says Scott.

Scott says that he hopes the "American's Next Black Leader" will serve as an alternative to reality shows like BET's upcoming show "Hot Ghetto Mess" which is requesting that people submit their most "ghetto" videos to BET.

"We don't need another "Hot Ghetto Mess", we need black leadership at its best," says Scott

Rev. Paul Scott is a minister, writer and community activist. He is a frequent guest on national talk shows across the country including four appearences on Fox New's Hannity and Colmes. He first gained national attention in 1998, when he led a sucessful campaign against Phat Boy Malt Liquor.

My parents are both unemployed! ....I'm unemployed... I can't work till I'm done with school in two weeks...

My Mom just came out of a surgery and they found she needs another one... My Dad has a business back in our country and bad things have been happening to it...

I mean... I really don't care if we are out of money right now.. but the least I ask life is for us to have health ...for my Mom to have health...

My friend Curt has become very arrogant stating he is perfect at everything he does. He must have spent weeks shooting videos showing him hitting three-point basketball shots, bowling a score of 300, running the table in pool, even throwing a hail mary pass – running down the field and catches it!!

He even ran into former professional baseball player Wade Boggs at a spring training game & showed HIM these videos. Somehow convinced Wade Boggs to state (on video) "Curt is a Perfect athlete!!!

He now brings a portable MP3 player everywhere he goes to show anyone who will watch these perfect events. Personally, I think he doctored the video somehow but don’t know how he did it. Even worse, he finishes all his conversations stating, “NOBODY beats Mr. Perfect... NOBODY.”

How do I tell him he is annoying everyone?

More importantly, how did he get all these athletic miracles on tape? – It does not look fake.

The elites in Haiti are rich as hell, go to the best schools in the world, basically live the Soap Opera life, while the rest of the population is eating mud. Some of them do contribute, but it is a small percentage.

I dreamed about a fish with the eyeballs attached and they were open. One of the fish where at a dinner table the other 2 where in the kitchen. They all were dead and ready to eat, however they all looked fresh from the sea and very much alive.

It was a white bakground, walls ceiling and table cloth. the fish on the table was being served with a bed of white rice. No one was there in the room.

I left the room in my dream. I didnt cook this fish, my friend cooked this fish but she wasnt there for some reason.

my boyfriend and I peaked in to this room even though it was in my house and when we saw the fish we freaki ran back to the other side of my house. we said what the ***?

This was all a dream.

next day my boy friend mother was diagnosed with a mass behind her eye.

For instance, mine is escalators. Not elevators, even though I was trapped in one for over two hours when there was a fire in a building. So logically, it would make more sense for me to be afraid of elevators, but it's escalators.

And I'm not afraid of stairs or heights, and I think moving sidewalks ROCK!

When they are so addictive and deadly and more less-addictive, less-toxic substances like certain Mushrooms, Grass, and LSD are illegal. If u smoke grass with a vaporizer there is basiclly no lung damage. Alcohol Kills...my unlce was killed by a drunk driver.
