I just saw one more question about food you won't eat and, again, at least half of the answers are about olives. I've seen this SO many times, here!!

I love olives, as most people I know. In my lfe, I've met very few people who don't care much about olives, but never one that "hates" them. This last year, at YA, I've seen hundreds of people saying, in questions and answers, they "hate" olives, and won't eat them even if there's nothing else to eat.

Is there any explanation for that? Is this a cultural thing?

Thank you for your answer, and have a wonderful day! :)

by the fact that people want us to do their homework? I already went through school and most of it we didn't have the Internet to search information on. We had an encyclopedia set circa 1970. *sigh* I can understand a problem you just don't understand, but ask questions about it. Don't be lazy, you know? Maybe it's just me.

I'm just curious how today's peace advocates feel about previous wars of the United States. As a historian, I do not feel that every conflict was necessary... but I wonder how those who oppose war feel about WWII, the Civil War, etc. How else do you think we could have stopped Hitler? How else should we have responded to Pearl Harbor? Was it right to fight a war that saved the Union and ended slavery? I'm really curious to know what you think could have been done. Please understand I'm not opposed to those who believe in peace.

Yesterday my hubby & I went to a beauty supply store that I've been to a couple of times before. It's a good sized store, but when we went in, we were the only ones there besides a lady behind the counter. As we were browsing, we heard a man and a lady's voice coming from the storage area behind the counter. It sounded as if they were having sex! We were so embarrassed, but the lady behind the counter just looked as us and smiled! My husband said that I'm to never go there again - I'm thinking I should call the owner and let he or she know what is going on in the store! What do you think?

why do people when answering questions refering to racial heritage say they are american, when obviously this is not a racial backround unless you are native, and they are admittedly not, sorry its a pet peeve i have being part native and all, most of the time they are not even mixed race when they say this, which i would guess would be the only other way for that answer to be valid , i would like answers though

(I post this question a lot, but I think it is a good tool to spread some ideas and open some eyes out there.)
I'm taking a poll of what people everywhere think some of the major flaws of today's society are. I also want people, who have serious ideas/answers, to lend some eye-opening knowedge to the mass population, as to further spread the ripples of a better life for all. What realistic steps can we take to better the way life is lived?

Stress is a part of life. It's not a choice, but how much stress should we take?

Recently a sports coach died because of stress due to losing badly in an important contest. I know the stakes are high in professional sports, but is it really worth the life of a person? It's easy for people to criticize their team on badly, but aren't they humans? It's just a game.

Many people commit suicide or die due to detiriorated health owing to work-related stress. Yes, we live in an efficient corporate world with cut-throat competition but is death a price for mistake or failure at work?

Many students commit suicide every year due to academic stress.

When I look around the world, with all the poverty and hunger... People in some countries don't have anything to eat, let alone a job. Think of natural calamities like earthquakes, tsunami that changed lives forever or people losing their lives in air crashes, road accidents, wars or other gruesome incidents that take place every day.

For instance I heard that there are two towns in NE where it is illegal to have sex on a Sunday. By the way, I am not looking for regular laws that people just don't like. I am looking for those weird who-thought-of-that kind of laws.
