I live in Oregon and I'm curious what other folks call us. I've heard the saying "Call me Rusty", because it rains so much here in Oregon, but I'm wondering what other slang terms, or "slurs" people use to describe Oregonians. You know, like there's the term "redneck" and "hillbilly", etc. It's ok, I got tough skin. LOL.

My all time favorites are quotes, postcards, and books. I also have small collections of random stuff...I try not to be a pack rat though. Moving around a lot doesn't really allow for that.

Do you think that the media people are using these doomsday television programs to just get ratings? If so, then how much dose it make you so angry that you just wish that someone would tell them to shut the hell up and find something good to say in front of your children about the worlds future while they are eating dinner? Dose it make you angry that this is what our children must grow up watching so much of because of ratings and GREED?

I think I'm going to do as so many of our forefathers did and move to a different country. I'm willing to make sacrifces. The general air here has become hypocritical and immoral, and theres nothing I can do about it. I'm going to raise my two boys somewhere else and where they can be healthier and happier. This place has becaome so damned fake. I'm sick of it. What country would be a good choice? I'm used to the climate zone here in Southern Alabama.

I'm an international student in the US from Asia. And I've been here for almost 10 months. We migrated here because of my mom's work for being a teacher. I'm only 16 years old. And I'm presently studying in a community college. I know I can speak english and I can immitate the accent. But my problem is that although I can speak that good I'm having a hard time to mingle to them. Because I'm only 16 and some of my classmates are 18 and over. yeah, I tried, they are so nice that two of my classmae invited me to have lunch with them but when I accepted it they just ignore me while on the table and they just do all the talking without noticing me. I felt that I was being out of place that's why from then on I tend to separate my way. If you're in my case what will u do? should I continue talking and to mingle with them? And without pretending what do you think with an international student like me? do you discriminate them or what? I'm just curious so that I know where to place myself?

We pull out of Iraq, move to African and ship all the inhabitants there off to the middle of Australia and build a bloody great water pipeline or several water pipelines from the sea putting desalination plants at the end of each pipeline. Why? Well, we don't seem to be able to grasp that Iraqis like killing each other over the same religion - which seems a bit pointless to me & apart from all the oil there, it's just a big desert.

Now Africa on the other hand has many resources and if we shipped all the people off to the middle of Australia - I mean half of Africans are dying from AIDS anyway - then it would give all those endangered animals a chance to recover and we could properly harvest the land and mine all the resources there. They won't do it, because they're all fighting each other because they're from different tribes. Just take a look at Australia, it's very accessible, it's like a ginormous island? We just need to relocate the best people about the globe a bit don't we?

My parents house was recently buglarized and there was a clearly defined shoeprint in my Mom's bedroom. It has a crown and a capital "B," as well as wavy lines crisscrossing the bottom of the shoe. I am hoping to find which brand and style of shoe made this print, so that we can come one step closer to catching the scumbags that invaded my parents' privacy and stole their belongings. Thanks in advance for any help!!
