I believe it has fewer harm full effects than alcohol or cigarettes(the true gateway drugs). I know that it can be positive medicinally and in some recreational situations. It is not a choice for me any more as it irritates a Minor physical ailment of mine. if they would change the laws then the quality would be consistent and the teens out there wouldn't be trapped by this meth sprayed pot I've seen so much of in the last few years.

My brothers both smoked and i guess being around it i got onto it 2. I no longer smoke it because i don't need it to make my life interesting.
You become anti-social. You'll find if you smoke, you don't get bored very easily. Do the same thing when you haven't had a smoke, and you'll be bored out of your brain. I went over to my brothers house, when i used to smoke i could sit there talking to him n his gf, play video games with them - but now its boring as all hell.
Because you smoke it when you're angry, you aren't dealing with your emotions. Which will make your addiction worse - because you rely on it to be happy again.
i know for a fact long term use is bad for you mentally and physically.
If it's harmless, does that mean you can quit smoking it for a few months? You think it doesn't have a hold of you?

I used to think the same way as you and I smoked it when I was younger. I have seen friends who smoked it when I was in my teens (I'm in my late twenties now) and they're still smoking it. Problem is, it's not such a casual thing now. A few of them have really struggled to take the next step in their lives. One is schizophrenic and the doctors have postulated that it may have been the weed that triggered it.
I think kids are probably always going to experiment but you need to keep a handle on these things. It's not something you want to do forever, even though it's supposedly not 'addictive'.

I'm 15, I'm really don't do any of that. I really don't see it as a drug, it just so happens that if a plant(marijuana) happens to catch on fire gives off some affects to anyone who inhales the smoke thats all. I don't think it should be illegal. I mean look at Jamaicans they are perfectly fine. But seriously it isn't dangerous like meth or heroine!

Pot is only rebellious because it is illegal, make it legal and let the corporations compete to sell it to kids and in a few years it will be no more cool or harmful then beer but it will be taxed.

Smoked for years. It made me hungry, lazy & unambitious. Then after years of abstinence, it made me so incredibly paranoid & uncomfortable. I'd MUCH rather have some wine. Later for pot. Burns out your short-term memory brain cells too. No thanks.

After watching my dad suffer with terminal cancer I think it should be made legally available to people with terminal illnesses.
