This book is absolutely fantastic. He walked 3000 miles from siberia to india to escape the russians during WW2. Just buy it and prepare to be amazed

The diving bell and the butterfly by Jean-Dominique Bauby. You have to read it. At once the most depressing and uplift book ever. The autobiography of a man who suffered a brain stem stroke that paralysed everything but his left eye.

-the alchemist - coelho - everyone should read this book - so easy to read and just charming.
- the reader - bernhard schlik - stunning novel, just too beautiful
-women who run with wolves - clever and full of wonder - mix of fairytale and self-help - seemingly odd yet inspirational
-like water for hot chocolate - food and love - is there a better combination?
- mayor of casterbridge and jude the obscure - Hardy's best
-all of Jane Austen's works - breathtaking talent
- great expectations - timeless
-midnight's children - rushdie - magical
- the prophet - gibran - his best work, mystical and haunting
... guess i shoud stop now... but if you havent read some of these books do give them a shot!

I think the Bible is the most hilarious book ever! Really, it's a laugh a page, and there are so many pages! No wonder so many people have read it. I'm sure it really did make their lives better, by giving them happiness through the joy of laughter!

The burning bed by faith mcnulty.
The film is also good but you get more details through the book.
