Why do you suppose people are just mean rude on ther road during rush hour? Traffic would just go more smooth if people did not ride each other bumpers and just kept a little bit of space and let other people merge in on the freeways. I notice bigger cities the people are more rude on the road then the smaller cities like Portland or Seattle.

People are more rude because they're tired. They've been at work all day, and the last thing they want to deal with is traffic; they just want to get home and relax. Letting people merge in takes time, and they're already frustrated with how slow everyone is moving.

Everyone is stressed and is looking for a way to vent. What better way to lash out than hiding behind a massive hunk of metal!

cause of the mindset id say. im from north jersey and think everyone sucks at driving from other states but im sure they think i suck too. although i really dont. and many of them do. i dunno a lot of people just suck at driving and theres kind of a mentality to get ahead of each other even if it doesnt really get you ahead. i think the way the cabbies drive in nyc radiated onto a lot of people.

They're tired, hungry and stressed. Not an excuse, just an explanation.

Because Americans are work-a-holics and they dont want to go back home, they would rather stay at work.
