There are some kids at the school I go to that are the meanest people I know. All they do is pick on me all day.

they are looking for attention..............
some kids are just really mean because they have many problems at home.. they get abused and feel that they need to abuse as well..
don't give them the satisfaction of getting a reaction from you...just try your best to avoid them and ignore them..
one last thing...
sometimes it works by turning the tables on them..
for instance::
when they are being mean to you.. offer them a piece of your chocolate bar... maybe it won't work the first time.. but might work later if you keep with it..

I'm sorry you have to go through this picking.Unfortunately kids have not changed over the years.Question.Do you like yourself?Then don't worry about what others think.You sound like a kindhearted person.Someday those very same mean kids will be adults and will be nice.I know I've been where you are at one time.Pick your friends from another bunch whom appreciates you.Ignore those bullies.Don't let these kids get to you.That is how come they do it.

Hurt people hurt people. It's a sad fact of life. Kids are the most vulnerable group in society; there's not much they can do about the hurt they receive other than turn around and dish it out to someone else. It's not easy being a kid. I know when my mom used to tell me that my teenage years were the best time of my life, I wanted to throw in the towel. Don't believe it. People become much more civil as they mature, and you stop feeling the impact of the actions of hurt people. Hang in there; be as nice as you can to others but don't take so much crap that you become resentful. Have goals for your adulthood and pursue them relentlessly. And trust that it gets better.

Well I'm sorry to hear about your little problem. The kids are mean probably because they're jealous of you and/or enjoy making people feel sad to make themselves feel better about their own lives. Ignore them as best you can and don't let them get to you. No matter what they say you're a beautiful, intelligent, kind, generous, lady and words can never change that. You'll be in my prayers. A lot of kids are like that now a days its common i was piked on and never understood why kids could be so mean to me it was like i was an easy target. A lot of kids develope judgement at a young age who they want to except and who they dont. if you dont look like them act like them dress like them then you are on their pick on list BUT as i got older in highschool a lot of those mean popular kids lost their cool and actually became friends with me so u will get over just walk around with your head high and look at them like they are nothing and they will eaither stop of look up to you for a new friend

Most kids are mean because they are insecure with who they are. Since they are always so self conscious they try to bring everyone else down so they can feel big and powerful. Don't listen to anything they say just laugh it off and remember that they probably have low self esteem!

They're probably just lack self confidence. By putting you down, it makes them feel better about themselves...it also might be because they are bored. If you are very dramatic when they do pick on you, they could just be picking on you for the reaction. But most likely it's just to make themselves feel better.

Because most kids who are "mean" are insecure with themselves. Like I know this guy Chase, and he's HUGE. Like 175 lbs, and he's only 12 years old. He is in my class though, so we are really great friends. He is still kind of mean, and sense he is so big, he pushes (literally) everyone around and pokes us and stuff. We tell him to stop, and he apologized.
Try to make friends with your enimies!

well some kids go though a lot of crap like their mom or dad are doing bad things or they are just lonely so they just pick on other people to make them feel better. you know?

Usually one of two reasons:
A. They are mimicking what they see at home.
B. They are incredibly insecure and act a certain way to feel superior.
It doesn't make it right, but example and emotions can be very powerful things when we grow up...
