A new girl has befriended me, and I've introduced her to my other friends. She has a really annoying voice. It's high pitched (way worse than nanny Fran). I think she knows because she talks really quietly until she gets excited. I overlook it because she seems to be a great person, but some of the others in the group are saying she has to go. Any advice on how to either get it her to tone it down a bit or get the others to be a bit more accepting?

Coincidentally, we both enrolled at uni (first year) in 2005.
& may have even had studied 2 of the same first year units
but before withdrawing from uni at end of 2006,
I didn't want to disturb/interrupt her from studies, and although at times on uni campus and in town she makes eye contact/looks at me more due to wanting to be aware/on guard of surroundings and personal space I haven't gone right up to her though have been in vicinities passing by or studying but I am uneasy, reluctant and apprehensive to go right up to her within the closer of personal space zones to apologise/try give her a apology/declaration of non harm on paper to formally express my discomfort & unpleasantness to have caused her any grievances which she I assume she probably feels (unless I'm paranoid) unsafe, uncomfortable when I'm around/about. This paper I put together has info on self defence for women genuine references & contacts & apology incl. acknowledging recognising her rights to feel safe comfortable

I hate using a public restroom with someone else in the room. Just the thought of someone hearing me pee and poo and I can hear them too makes me sick. I don't even want to go in there unless I'm pretty sure I'm by myself. Anyone else hate using public restooms?

You know the face I'm talking about. The constipated look, usually accompanied by a gang sign, and their eyes rolled up.

Case in point.

I want to pretend to be homeless for a week and stand by the street with a cardboard sign and tattered clothing to see how much money I could make in a week compared to the salary of a regular job. Would it be really wrong of me to do this even though it's not for the purpose of money and I'll even donate the money to a homeless shelter or charity?

I am on the edge of my seat, anxious to find out who will move into the house next to mine. I am just hoping that whoever it is whether it be a family or one person, that they are nice. Why? My last neighbors were sent from hell! Have you ever or do you have bad neighbors? What's so bad about em?

In the short story, The Bet, the two main characters make a bet and one of them has to stay in an isolated room for fifteen years, with absolutely no outside contact. He can have anything he desires delievered to him (with the exception of a computer, phone, or anything else that would grant him contact with the world). It would be delivered to him by being slipped through a door slot in order to avoid contact. If he wins, he gets a lot of money. Could you do it if you were in his position? Why or why not?

What do you think about it? Should people have abortions if they don't want to have the kid? Should the father have a say in it? What is your advice to those who are considering this? Let me know exactly what you think about the whole thing.

red noses have been banned from 'comic relief does fame academy'.Why?Because its film,ed in a grade 2 listed building and are deemed a fire hazzard!! I hate the program, but the cause is nobel as,for those unfamiliar with red nose day,its a uk nationwide event to raise funds for disadvantaged children here and in africa.
Surely the pc brigade could just for once shut up and realise that perhaps, just perhaps, they are being complete arseholes and the fact that these 'stars' from fame academy might just encourage a few more people to go out and buy a nose for charity,to help these disadvantaged children.
This country is crazy, and the craziest of all is the government and the pc brigade who seem to ride roughshod over everything we try and do.If its even remotley, and i do mean remotely 'dangerous',its banned.
Is it all about suing. Is that what all this crazyness stems from.If someone is hurt they just MIGHT sue. That seems to be the basis for me.What do you think?

the term is bieng over used and wrongly used in a lot of situations.

it seem now that insulting, disliking or offending somebody other than your own race is classed as racism by most people when this is infact not correct.
