"A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. An incredible book which covers so many aspects of our planet, countries, sciences etc past - answers questions to many things that we don't think about in everyday life - eg how do scientists know what the centre of the Earth is like when the furthest drilled is about 30km??
Seriously recommend it although it is quite long, but once you start reading it you just won't want to put it down.

Here's a good one: "Why God Won't Go Away," by Andrew Newberg. It's a study of the neurobiology of belief. Fascinating, really. Let me know what other sorts of books you like and I'd be glad to make recommendations.

You can read Koran.It's the religion book of Muslims.It contains 114 verses begining with the opening and ending with The people.It contains the right teachings of Judism and Christianity and hints about their prophets.

I strongly recommend you "the Importance of the living" By Ling Yutang, Chinese writer who died in1976, his legacy of the purest art of living should be always kept as one of your permanent underarm books, once you read it, you will change the meaning of your life forever. I dare also to recommend you a second book writed by te same man. "Widow, Nun and Courtesan"
