Why does Turkey have such a bad reputation for abusing human rights? Can anyone be specific with its history?

Ive often heard Turkey mentioned for this reason, but would like to know more please, anything relavent, past or present. Thankyou.

Europa is talking about that there is no independence of ideas in Turkiye [because of 301st Turkish law which says a person who insults Turkiye or Turks, is punished], while they have such kind of laws, even also they get involved about the so-called genocide which is nothing to do with them. So, where is the indepedence of ideas in Europa?

Perincek has gone to Switzerland with many documents which show that there is no genocide and turks have been killed by armenians, too. He was judged and punished in Switzerland, the country, where is accepted more improved than the EU countries in human rights, so that he had said "Armenian Genocide is an international lie!"

if someone says there is armenian genocide, s/he has to say there is turkish genocide, too. Even turkish archieves are open and turks doesnt take these claims seriously, many people believe in the genocide so that in their country armenians talk about a so-called genocide so much.

Why those countries accept this nonsense thing by their courts or laws and dont let historians talk about it?

This is the ignorance of big, modern and improved Europa. Or this is a politic effort against Turkiye...

Israel, which nobody even tell any word about Palestine or Lebanon attacks of, is planning to come up with an acception of so-called Armenian genocide in their government! i cant believe it! Armenian genocide has not been accepted in that time, therefore, Armenians have no right to want anything like land or indemnity from Turkish side. i dont know why the sounds have increased for the name of the armenian genocide in recent years. maybe, they want to create a political pressure against turks and cause turkiye to open their borders to armenians and break the embargo of Turkiye on Armenia... inside the whole ottoman boundaries, there were not even 1 million armenians. so how can you claim that 1.5 million armenians died in the east anatolia?

yes, many armenians died but not because of the genocide, they died because of the war, diseases and the cold like turkish people.

with russian incitements and commitments, some armenians burned turkish villages and those people's reaction was the same.

Abusing Human Rights in Turkey is really a prejudice in most parts of the world AND being very well used opposed to Turkey. Of course there were some human right problems and cases but it has never been more than (what you call) modern world. From an objective point of view, Modern Turkish Republic had 3 military coups and it was not a shining part of our history for the human rights but again it can never be compared a communist regime. Turkey is also well-blamed during the fight with PKK, however it is just the propaganda of terrorists and we all very well know that modern world needs to be protected against terrorism. We also very well know that US is not a heaven for human rights after 9/11, England after London Subway bombs as well. For the Ottoman empire time all the people living in Ottoman empire had human rights more than any monarchy on the world during that time.
Last words for the supporters of Armenian genoLIE.
I and every Turkish man respects your grandfathers' tales to keep you more Armenian in Europe and US. All Turkish people also know that Armenia has no future without the dreams of taking money and lands from Turkey because of what you call Armenian geoLIE. Because Ottoman Empire was abig and powerfull country.And there is always religion war.So some hard religiost groups don t want to believe in that a Muslim country can be so powerfull and have a good system of government read about the direction style of Ottoman Empire,why they fought (please read both a foreign and a Turkish writer)for land .Than have your own ideA.

There is a huge propaganda in USA ,fRAnce,because there are a lot of rich people who would like to blame Turkey.If they can get a land from these areas ,BE CAREFULL these areas are close to Iraq so it is a suitable place for emperialist powers.
