I am attending college in the UK and something has happened twice since Ive been here. Im mixed with black and white. Im light skinned with long hair and the only thing that shows my association with the black race is my nose. Today a black guy was saying hi to me (i dont know him) and he said 'hello sister' and yesterday some persons and I were having a discussion and a black girl was talking to me and she kept saying 'sister, listen to this' ect. What does all this mean. Do they think I am full black. Im not racist or anything but what does this mean. The people who call me this are Africans by the way. Has this ever happened to a white girl? Do I look full black?

And the worst is, women treat women badly...

Enlighten us.. It would be nice to hear from women who have treated other women badly

-I know it is difficult to accept - that we were jealous because another girl was in love with your favorite brother and you made sure you broke the relationship, or u were jealous of your own sister and messed her life, or that the other girl was so innocent that you had to play games and destroy her life)

I know one time I was in the store and I was about 13 at the time, I'm 25 now. But I had my nephew and the guy walked by and said. "Boy, young black girls having babies makes no sense" lol

And I had my first child at 19 after I was married, and the place where I had worked, a women came up to me and said: "So how does it feel to be a single parent?" (What in da hezzy?)

And I know this one guy came up to me and ask for my phone number, I said I was married. He says: "So, I came be ya man on the side." ??????

Why do people say crazy things?? What have someone said to you?

In Brooklyn today, we were riding on a subway train, & there was a man who smelled like sewage + a woman on her menstrual cycle who hasn't bathed in days. There were people who got on the train & right back off because of his horrible smell. He stunk up the whole train.

I am a senior in high school (only 4 months left!) and I'm not going to lie. Me and my friends have done some pretty rebelious things without really knowing why. Some of these things include ding dong ditched, throwing stick in the middle of the road as cars drove by, throwing snowballs at cars, mailbox bashing and egging cars. I look back at these events (most of which were done during my freshman year) and think, "good times..." I don't do these sorts of things anymore and about 95% of that stuff was just targeted at random people. What I really hate is that a lot of times high school kids vandalize possessions of parents of other kids they may not like

My son is 9. He's in a wheelchair. He has Cerebral Palsy. He's quiet when I have him out. It's not like he's screaming and stuff. But, people are so F*UCKING rude and stare at him because he's in a wheelchair!!! It's pisses me off so bad!! Why are people so inconciderate? He's just a little boy and has been through so much more than a lot of people will EVER go through!! He can't do things like other little kids.... he can't even PLAY!! Maybe they should say HI to him instead of staring!! People can be such ASSH*LES!!

Do we gravitate towards similiarities or try to balance ourselves out with exact opposites? Sometimes I lose myself in the day-to-day living of life. I try to relate to fiction to understand life, as I believe all fiction/art/creativity/etc. is a metaphor for "real life". But I'm not really sure why I am drawn to certain characters/objects.

I've noticed this at different jobs I've worked at and places I've shopped in it seems like the lady who rings the convenience store register or the guy who drives the forklift have this inflated sense of pride and persecution. I've worked various jobs where the receptionist treats visitors like garbage or the dude who cuts the grass treats the college kid on his crew like an a-----e for having a summer job. What's with that? How do they work any harder than a computer programmer? Why should anyone care? Toby Keith doesn't sing songs for doctors or teachers, so why should they feel anymore persecuted or entitled. What do you think? Have you made this observation. Or, in the words of the guy who smashes drywall, "man, what say you?"
