I am attending college in the UK and something has happened twice since Ive been here. Im mixed with black and white. Im light skinned with long hair and the only thing that shows my association with the black race is my nose. Today a black guy was saying hi to me (i dont know him) and he said 'hello sister' and yesterday some persons and I were having a discussion and a black girl was talking to me and she kept saying 'sister, listen to this' ect. What does all this mean. Do they think I am full black. Im not racist or anything but what does this mean. The people who call me this are Africans by the way. Has this ever happened to a white girl? Do I look full black?

I wouldnt say "full" black. But its easy to tell that youre part black.

I dont think you have to be full black to be called sister or brother by other blacks. But hell, I'm white, what do I know about all this....
