I have this old lady English teacher at my school she is 63 and drives me insane. She never prepares lessons and most of the things we do is watch a movie, answer questions out of a book, or start our homework. She rarely lectures us or teaches us something new, but seems outraged we don't know anything about English. She plays favorites with the students who talk a lot and lets them re arrange items in her desk. Today I went to throw away an extra sheet I had received and she sed " What did you just throw away???" i sed "I had an extra sheet" she sed "What is the mater with you, you stupid or somthin'????" i said "sorry" and she said "PUT THE PAPER DOWN" i sed "where" she said "FIND OUT YOURSELF AND SIT DOWN I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU....!!!!" As you can see, she hates me, what do I do????

I'm doing a paper about how completely sane ppl can be taken over by love, (crazy astronaut, the lady that ran over her hubby 3 times).

If you could choose: to have the love of your life, marry another woman/man or feed your love to a tiger. What would you choose, would you be tempted to feed him/her to a tiger, instead of watching them move on without you? like what happened to Jennifer Aniston. Would she feed brad to a tiger? hmmmmmmmm

My mother always used these terms as signs of approval, but I never quite caught what she meant. She was always telling me that one could not become a cultured or refined person by dint of education, that it was something different.

What, therefore, would you consider the mark of a cultured person..... or a person of refinement?

Thank You

Lately, I find myself being addressed as 'Dude' by twenty-something males, as in 'Scuse me, Dude' when pushing in to buy a pint in the pub. It's friendly and I don't expect them to say 'Excuse me, old boy' but haven't we an English expression left that would fit the bill?

A lot of us women would admit that we like to use toys. But am I the only one who's still embarrassed to be seen coming in and out of these places? I have to go online and rather pay shipping and handling to buy STUFF rather than go to these places and save money.

Look around, none of us have extra limbs, none of us are purple, blue or green. Racism is outdated... Who cares who believes in what? Why are so many of us so afraid of differences?

Now I am probably one of the nicest people ever to walk the face of the earth. But yet, I have no friends what so ever, the few friends that I had tried to take advantage of me and I kicked them to the curb, I have never been in a relationship and everyone that I am attracted to say they would sleep with me but they won't date me, I mean what kind of messed up thing is that. But anyway I see all the ugly, mean guys with all the dates, and friends and here I am a educated, handsome, friendly man and I have neither. I have tried being mean but three minutes later I am back to friendly again I mean can someone please help me figure this out?

i now reside in austin, texas but originally am from san francisco. i'm not sure if people here have an identity crisis or what, but i've heard several comparisons by people here who think this town is identical to cities in california. however, when i ask if they've lived there they say no. the pace of life is so incredibly slow here it's like watching life pass you by. i'm constantly passing people up and being told to slow down. this is conservative stickville usa. if you've been to either place or both, your thoughts?

ok this is really messed up. i live in an apartment and i had been smelling this awful smell in the hallway for about a week. i finally called maintenance to report the smell. it turns out, my neighboor was dead and i was smelling his body rotting. it was bad. anyway, no one told me how he died. i read the corner's ruling in the newspaper today and it says he shot himself in the head. oh my god. i feel so uneasy living there. #1. he had a gun in there. #2. he used the gun to kill himself. and #3. i discovered his body because it was rotting.

do you think there is any way i could get out of my lease because of this circumstance? i still have 5 more months before my lease is up. but i HATE living there now and it is all i think about. it makes me so sick.

I mean this kind of behavior makes absolutely no sense what so ever. You would think that people who are nice are more likely to have a lot of friends and be popular but the majority of the times that does not seem to be the case. If you think back to high school, who were the popular kids the mean, rude ones. And it still continues on in college, the workforce and places like the entertainment industry. I mean why.
