No, that's pretty much something a goofy scientologist would say. You silly thing. Thanks.

Yes, Douglas Adams thought that the planet Earth is an immense computer built specifically to determine the ultimate question, where 42 is the answer to the meaning of life, the universe, and everything. He also thought that the white mice were performing scientific experiments on human beings. Some of them died to see what substance humans would ban.

It's a theory. You ever read the book, "The Gods of Eden"? Interesting book. Basically it talks about an alien race of beings that came to this world for minerals and such. These beings created an intelligent new race with genetic manipulation of the animals here. Such species we know as human, were to be a slave race for the mining operations. The new species were a bit too intelligent, and rebelled against their masters. The masters decided to wipe out this rebellion with a great flood, but one scientist did not want to see his work destroyed, so he saved a group. He protected them and taught them the ways of civilization. Supposedly, this alien group continued to influence this new society throughout history, too perhaps modern times, in many ways, negatively towards us.
Pretty fantastic eh? The details in the book make you ponder about our origins. Don't know if it's true, but it's interesting.

i often have these thoughts that, while we werent created solely for entertainment purposes, higher beings are somewhere laughing their heads off at our stupidity, and at times crying about our cruelty. I dont think we are an experiment, but whatever we are, its gone terribly wrong!

I often wonder if we are just a bunch of bacteria sitting in a test tube in the laboratory of some greater universe.

I do believe there are "others" out there watching our every move and perhaps more superior to humans. When you consider virus' , they are becoming more harmful, yet we don't really know where they originate from. Ufo's, so called aliens - there's no smoke without fire.

It would not surprise me has I find it hard to believe that we are the only humans on this vast planet.

What a daft question. its quite obvious that we are on a piece of mud, on the back of a big flee, which has made its home on the back of a big dog, which is having a scratch, wash and blow dry, sleep in a hot house but still has dandruff.

nope...there's no reason to assume that, it is by no means the "most likely" option.
Think of tiny insects on our planet, are they just an experiment for us to study? of course not. Everything just exists.

It is an interesting theory. Or we could just be a program running in a alien super computer.

Could be someone just dropped us off and forgot about us! Or they ran out of money to fund the project .
