I have been visiting other Y!A links this week and was shocked to see how many racial questions involving stero-typing and bigotry that are asked in countries outside the USA by USA Y!A participants. These questions (and answers), if asked in the USA, would be more likely get reported for violation (and receive thumbs down). Just curious about any theories as to why and if this seems the case to others?

I find that most of them are so shallow and uneducated. No one ever wants to better themselves, they have no focus in life, they're more concerned about what they're going to wear to a party than what is happening in our world. It REALLY irritates me when I try to make conversation about current events, but no one has ever taken an initiative to watch/read the news.

Do I have a problem, or would this bother you too?

My girlfriend and I are debating the meaning of the term "potty". Friends responses make me think it depends on where in the county you are from. I (from mid-atlantic) say potty refers to going #2. She (from mid-west) says it refers to going #1.

My husband is from NJ and he loves "pork roll." He brought some back and I think it tastes like "spam." I even made them side by side so he could do a taste test. He picked the 'pork roll.' Ha. Anyway, I had to eat spam growing up. Now I don't! ewwwness. (Now, aren't you happy this question isn't about Anna Nicole?) So, do you eat spam? How?

What about the people who had already discriminated towards cultures in the past. For example, where do you think Hitler ended up? Can you specifically quote scriptures that does/does not support racism. How does God feel about people who are racist and what do you think about the ones who are? I am shocked and appalled by what other people on YA! think about certain races. What makes you think that African-Americans are all bad-especially black women? Why do you think black women deserve to be disrespected and what does God think about black people? Why is it so hard for people to understand black women work just as hard and probably harder to get what they need in society? Tell me what you think and no offensive answers, please!

I'm not suicidal, I'm very happy, as a matter of fact, I'm too happy. I've seen every old person in my life suffer excruciatingly in a hospital because of some pathetic reason that they won't let them die peacefully as it is considered wrong. Recently my grandma was denied food for 5 days before she finally passed away and was eating sleeping pills like candy in the hospital. It's disgusting the way they let old people die.

I want to know, because if the time comes that me or my wife are in a hospital and ready to die. If the time is right and we are both old enough(75+) and our children are grown up and on their own. We can make the choice that we desire, and our family will respect our wishes and understand. It is selfish to want to keep a miserable old person who is alone and suffering alive just so you can visit them in the hospital every sunday to make yourself feel better.

Even though this is still a 40 year possibility in the future, what is the quickest, easiest way?

There's this kid in my theo class and he's always making fun of my name and doing other things to really get on my nerves. And it's been getting worse and worse lately. Such as today, our teacher told everyone to exchange papers with someone and he said "Hey Chloe (but he prenounced it chuh-low-ee), want to exchange papers? Maybe we could exchange some other things if you get what im saying" its just embarrassing and its getting ridiculous.

I have a teacher who is generally really cool and friendly. All the kids like her and she gives off a great vibe. Anyway, that changes sometimes when other teachers enter the room or come near. Whenever another teacher comes around, she'll start hollering and being a hard-***. For instance, she's like 'can you go get me my stapler?', then when another teacher came around she started joking with the other teacher and looked at me and shouted, "GET YOUR BUTT OVER THERE AND GET ME MY STAPLER.' She's always doing stuff like that. She'll politely ask me if I 'did my homework and how she wants to help me with it', but when one of the other teacher's comes around, she's like 'get out your homework and it better be done.' Then sometimes she looks at the other teachers and starts acting all exasperated saying things like, 'these kids are going to be the end of me' 'these kids are driving me crazy.' Why does this sweet lady become a mega-beeatch when any ole' other teacher is around?
