Everywhere I go they just hand me my purchases or say "do you want a bag?" Sometimes I want to be discrete about my purchases.
I did not want to leave the store yesterday waving around an expensive stick of ram.

It could just be poor service, or maybe the stores are implementing a new policy in order to be environmentally friendly. I've heard some places are going to start charging for plastic bags in order to cut down on waste (see link below).

It's funny because I have the opposite problem. Clerks put my purchases in a bag before I can stop them! I usually try to bring my own canvas bags, or just carry the items out, if possible.
