Why does the race of the woman who stole your man matter? Why does it matter if someone from one race is dating someone from another?
What's the big deal?

If you had access to information and money, and devised a plan so genius to obtain that money so that it would be nearly impossible to track it back to you... would you? The money is not yours, but it's just sitting there... forgotten and alone! :)

Thanks!

The idea that races even exists astounds me. There is no such thing as 'race' - just gene pools that are indigenous to certain land masses. Asians, for example, do not exist - just people with Asiatic physical characteristics. Some may say that there would still be discrimination based on how people act,e.t.c. even if everyone had the same physical characteristics. But relatively speaking it does not seem to me that this would be the case. White people, for instance, don't normally seem to discriminate against other white people just because of they way they look or act. If there is any discrimination it is usually by a person of one "ethnicity" to another. The europeans first discriminated against africans because of the color. But suppose the Africans had the same color skin as Europeans. There would have been no discrimination based on skin color. So why can't you just say we are all the same? Because aside from skin color/ actions based on learned behavior we are all the same.

I am 14 and everwhere I go there is a phone. It is driving me nuts. I will only get one when I am 26. Phones are banned in school but it doesn't help much. What the prefects and teachers don't see can't hurt them. I openly admit taht I have no phone and I get laughed at but you know what, I DONT CARE. Phones are making us all dumber and dumber.

My guess is that it is our fault as a society that celebrities are put on so high of a pedestal.

Over the last 18 months i've lost 5 stone. After being overweight for about 5 years I am staggered how differently I am now treated on a daily basis. While I guess it's sad but unsurprising that more men have asked me out, it's the fact that more men are just more helpful and polite, people open doors more even, It's quite bizarre. I think I was actually invisible, when I was twice the size. I've been in social situations where people have made jokes about a persons size and i'm expected to join in. It sounds weird but I feel like i've joined a club and i'm not sure if I want to be a member! Conversely some women have been a lot less helpful, and a lot less friendly and I didn't expect that. Anyway I'm glad I lost the weight, i'm fitter and healthier which is the main thing. But there's no doubt that the world can be an unkind place for large people.

Suicide-Prevention Group Criticizes GM Ad
"Homophobic" Snickers commercial off the air

I thought the commerical with the yellow robots dreaming was funny but the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention said GM's spot may encourage people to consider suicide as a solution to their problems. HUH?

At first I thought the Snickers commerical was funny but then it got less funnier but The Human Rights Campaign and the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation complained was homophobic. HUH?

Are people just overly sensitive now?

Do you think this is a good idea? I live in the south and employers don't like single people especially for high paying/ responsibility jobs. There was an article in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution a couple years ago dealing with this. Do you believe this is bad idea? Can it back fire if someone wants to meet my non-existant wife? I guess I can pay a female friend to pretend to be my wife at company events if the need comes to.
