My guess is that it is our fault as a society that celebrities are put on so high of a pedestal.

Oh.

Who treats them like experts? I treat people with Ph.D.s like experts ... in their singular field of study.

Celebrities aren't "treated" like experts; it's just that people worship them so much they agree with and admire anything they say and do, as though being rich and beautiful allows a person to qualify for The Best Person in the World award. I agree that's it's quite dense.

On the other hand, a very few celebrities have actually attended and graduated from decent universities and so can't be entirely shallow and idiotic. But wealth and influence and cameras constantly in one's face change even the smartest people.

Excellent question! I've always wondered the same myself especially when you consider that some of the most vocal critics of this policy or that are at best High School grads, with few having any education beyond that. Yet people take their word on lofty subjects as if it were gospel. I guess it just goes to show how gullible many of our citizens have become.

Because Democrats control the media! It's not THAT tough to figure out.

I mean think about it; we're the ONLY country in the world that has anti-American propaganda ON OUR OWN STATIONS!!!! hahahaha!!!

Lame!

Why would you expect people on Yahoo Answers to know that? Aren't they average people?

Well, not you and I, we are special :-)
