Self-esteem is very important! If you don't love yourself then you can't love anyone else. And you have to love God for him to accept you. If you know God then you should have great self-esteem.

Go to the link below. I think it will help a bit.

I find self-esteem to be very important. If you believe in God then good for you. He is not going to make you look in the mirror and love yourself.

Sounds like God has empowered the person, any person with self respect and esteem. A great gift!

Your friend is both very right and very wrong. To 'God' the amount of 'self esteem' you have makes 'no difference at all' but while you are alive, it is extremely important to have 'good self-esteem' but not to think 'too highly of yourself' at the same time.

God does love you but that has nothing to do with your self esteem. Self esteem has to do with how you feel about yourself. And knowing God loves you wouldn't that give you more self esteem?

Your friend is wrong because not only is self esteem important but it stems from self love. God is within us all, good and bad and we shouldn't impose any conditions upon ourselves. Love yourself whatever or whoever you are. You are special!

Self esteem is the most important thing in a human's possession, If you cannot love yourself no one else will, and you will have a miserable existence.

Its important to living. Low self-esteem leads to depression and depression may lead to suicide (a no no I believe) how can you lead the fulfilling life your supposed to, without confidence in yourself?

All life is a gift not to be wasted and I believe its the happiness you share and bring to others that counts.

I think that self esteem is important. But lets face it... religion does not promot self esteem, it promotes repentence for who you are... so I could see where she is coming from. To have self esteem when you believe you are a sinner, is like rebellion I would think
