when it comes to 'make me feel better' pills
so to speak ...

i don't because as for all this being a scientific thing ... neurochemistry is a very inexact and young addition to the bastions of science. And they really ain't no clue on the variables they are dealing with so how can they be so sure?
And the fact that it works for the majority is no solace to me. I'm much more bothered by the fact they ain't even asking why an amphetamine-like substance should calm over-active kids down.

"The body bears the burden" ... and no drug is gonna change that.
What you think?

I recently posted a question and one man, within his answer, stated that he was 74. I've seen questions posted from 13 yr. olds and now this one from a gifted 74 year old. So...was just wondering...what is the age span here now ? What is your age ?

I'm a 22 year old happily married stay at home mom and college student. I have no problems with my life- I love being home with my daughters, and plan to have finished my schooling and started my career about the time my youngest starts Kindergarten. I don't do much without my husband or children, and that's fine with me. I have several people in my life (siblings, friends, etc) that are constantly telling me, though, that I need a life of my own. That I should go out and have fun- I'm too young to have the responsibility I have- Anything I say- they act like I'm not being truthful or like I'm covering up that I'm really unhappy. I don't know what to say to them when they do this. I AM happy with my life and I don't WANT to go out and party just because that's what other people my age do- How do I handle this situation?

Like beyond the going to school and getting a job bit. Is 'education' over-rated and that is why there is so little common sense in the world? Or in the UK at least ...
I'm putting it in general cause i'm not feeling very philosophical. And definitly having one of those "Answers on a postcard please" days too :-)

I find it hard to trust people because I think that no one should be trusted. They will turn against you and sometimes your friends are your enemies. I only trust my Mom and my Dad

Be sent to Iraq??? So they can come back as men?
And not think, that by "taking out" (shooting and killing) innocent children and students makes them "Hard" or a "Man".
Maybe??? They can be trained to aim a gun at a man that is trying to kill them! Not at child sitting in a car? Or walking to school.

I know its not their fault, for having such a distorted sence of reality
It come down to the parents. But if they THINK? They are men then put them in situations that will make them men.

Are you conscious of the environmental track records of companies whose products fill the supermarket shelves etc, and do you shop according to your feelings about them, or do you just get what's cheap and be damned?

Not to be negative or anything but I wonder what other setbacks people may have had here. I'm still trying to get over the fact that this past summer I had to drop out of a triathalon due to an injury that I didn't properly treat in the months leading up to the event. I even had relatives come in from afar to see me participate, it was hell having to drop out. I felt like such a failure. It took me back to the feelings that I used to have in school when I'd blow a test or something, or lose a girlfriend. I know that people here must have suffered some set backs, how do you deal with it???????

I am a 31 yr old man that quit working a few months ago be welfare pays better than McDonald's. As a result I had to move in with my mother bcause I couldn't pay my rent. Mom, however, doesn't seem to like me sleeping on her couch. So I was wondering... Should I kick her out of her bedroom and take the bed and let her sleep on the couch? What do you think?

well, there's this boy at school who isn't quite all "there" and at lunch, my friends usually call him over so that they can make fun of him! i usually get there in time and break it up, and by that time, this kid is crying his eyes out. i got so angry at my friend the other day that i called them lesser than human and yelled that they were evil and should go to hell. i was so angry i cried. now one of them wants to fight me. i was in the right, i know, but now they think that retaliation is the answer. i just wish i could help him more... why are people so heartless? does picking on him make them feel more powerful?
right now, people really equal shiit.

looks to me, that other minoritys have it better, because of loans that are given to you, colleges that are just for you, and visa that are given out, so i think white americans or euro-americans have just as much of a right to pronounce their race and it is not the kkk saying this.
