I'm 25 and feel like my life is terribly boring. I go to work, come home and cook or watch tv, go to sleep and repeat. I feel like there is no time for anything because I spend it all at my job that I hate.

I'm half way to 30 and having some serious anxiety about my life right now. What do people in their 20's do for fun?

One of my many poems written after my heart was broken

My heart from now is a private road
No thoroughfare
No heavy load
No slow traffic
No graphic details
Cold or collision
No more stories to make me end

I'll always love you, still you are mine
Why do you have to take so much time calling me?
I just wanted it to be easy like
Sunday morning

Snow falls in silence and covers the green
Still you can see where the birds have been
Hungry but alive and free
Waiting

I am specifically looking for information on the Sisters of Mercy, particularly in St Jospeh's Industrial School in Clifden, from the late 1940s up to the late 1960s, but any other relevant information would be welcome.

my ancestors earned 10s [50p] per week in Victorian sweatshops, namely, cotton mills. Does it really matter that the same happens today in parts of the world ? Isn't it more important OUR kids are properly fed and clothed ?

Are people burying their heads in the sand regarding the reality of all this third world immigration, i heard on the tv that in the next 20 years birmingham will have a ethnic majority. Personally i dont have anything against ethnics but their culture is the opposite of ours its just a shame the BNP took the line of being a party of violent criminals rather than joining the mainstream and challenging the PC bullshit we are fed on a daily basis. The BNP should dissolve itself and a new political alliance formed like in Holland where the right got together with clued up liberals such as Pym Fortune to challenge the Muslim creep on society, it has only started to get results with the banning of the Burka but eventually the Dutch will reclaim their country. All these ethnics have their own culture and countries so why do they feel the need to try and subjugate mine, in time we will claim it back.

He told me that when he was a kid, during the school holidays he used to combat boredom by standing at the bus stop ... filling his mouth up with milk and mushed up bread and then, when a bus came along, he would pretend to be sick all over the road. Just so that all the passengers would look at him in disgust.

Isn't that the sickest thing you've ever heard (pardon the pun) ? Quite funny, but how would you ever come up with an idea like that?

This morning at 4 am we were woken by one of our Polish neighbours asking us to phone the fire brigade as the house across the street was on fire, his English isn't too good, he panicked and couldn't remember the number for the emergency services luckily he'd heard the screams, the house is rented to a young mother with a child, there were no smoke alarms fitted, luckily my hubby and our Polish neigbhour managed to get the woman and her daughter safely out of the house before the fire brigade arrived, smoke alarms are free through Government funding from the fire service, why are people still risking their lifes by not having them fitted and why are landlords getting away with not fitting them in rented properties.
