The kind of present my brother and his wife will be getting us.

The money he would have spent on us is being sent to pay for a proper toilet in the street for some people somewhere in India. We take such things for granted. In Britain we live in the top 10% of the world for living standards, do you really need another pair of socks?

Hi, I'm writing a light-hearted article for a newsletter about pretentious and badly thought-out project names.

For example, classical, greek or literary names, where there are awkward or embarrasing connotations. E.g Project Exodus, for a company redundancy scheme.

Does anyone have any real examples I could use.... no company names mentioned please, just the project name, what the project was meant to deliver and whether it was successful.

Why are they saying that about louisiana we are a good state. They are saying louisiana is the worst state. They should atleast say that its just unhealthy and say some good things about us. Yes i ameat that our state has problems but you don't have to talk about us and ever one now is saying negative things about us

I've just spent ages trying to replace my cartoon avatar with a proper jpeg photo. Yahoo seem to have made the process SO complicated. Even I struggled, and I have a computer science degree! So, in the spirit of my current mood, what beats this as the most frustrating thing EVER?!

why are people more selfish now then they have ever been? people dont realise how lucky they are.people seem to be more in to money now then ever. the goverment wants to go green witch is good but whats the point if amaica wont do it too? and chaina is suffering from polushen too..... so why make people pay more tax when people are at there limits and det.and why do people act as if there so far up thier own ***?

My story is set in a fantasy world, inhabitted by human like creatures. Their technological level is that of the 17th of 18th century. They believe in many gods not one. They live in an island world surrounded by water from all sides.
In this world I want to give new names to the following inventions:
-The Telescope
-The Microscope
-The Church
-The Priests,Bishops, Archbishops, cardinals(The religious hiercarchy)
-Kings, queen princes, Dukes(Royal hierarchy)
-Ways of adressing royality and poriesthood(Your magesty, his highness, his holiness, etc)
