tend to not like the younger generation (people in their 20's)?Is it because they think that they lack respect for people of their generation and think they are arrogant punks in general?

I know he has been found, unfortunately, it was too late...=( I feel so sorry for him and his family. I hope he didn't suffer at all.

But my question is, I've read on yahoo article that he has walked on the wilderness for up to 8 miles and his body was found a few miles from their car. Does this mean he tried to go back to his family before it was too late???

I read that in a study, duplicate resumes were given to employers with two different names. One name was off a list of names that members of another study ruled to be "more traditional." ie: Matthew, Sarah, David. The other name was from a list of names the same study had ruled "moderately untraditional" like Roxanne, Jillian, Taegan. The names ruled "untraditional" like Larksong and Moonbeam were left out of the second study all together.

Anyway- the study concluded that those with "traditional" names were twice as likely to be hired than their equally qualified counterparts!!

I want to know if people out in the YA world have ever thought about this, or have even caught themselves doing it?

Well, you know me, being a high school student - junior to be exact, I have got to be thinking deeply about my future. Once I graduate high school, I plan to attend a university close to home so I can get a degree for teacheing high school math, after I am through with college I plan to hopefully, get a job at my own high school and, since I doubt I'll be driving, get a studio apartment close by there. Other plans, include not marrying until later and no kids, I am wanting pets instead.... My very supportive teacher says that my future is bright while my BF, Eric, supports these ideas, but wants the housing and those related plans to be more thought out, I know he's trying to help, but I feel a little bit lost now. WHat do you think?

I truly believe that the 60's will return. I see it in everything around us! For example: Music. Music in the 60's and 70's was excellent. There were so many classics during that time! Then the 80's kinda died down and the 90's bombed. Now in the 2000's the music is starting to pick up again, but I think it's potential won't be reached for a while more. And how about this: War. One of the main aspects of the 60's was Peace. Nobody wanted war! Nobody wanted war because they just came out of a war and realized how bad it was. Now that we are in a war, everyone is starting to want peace again. Clothes: Clothes always cycle around, and whether you want to admit it or not, the 60's clothes will come back. And lastly: drugs. Another big thing in the 60's, drugs were everywhere and even legal! I know what you're thinking....What's that have to do with now? Has anyone read about the marijuana laws in Denver? Look around people....The 60's are coming!

I got a new oral teacher from the US this term. But I find it difficult to communicate with him.

When I asked if I could pay him a visit at weekend, he just said, "I'm sorry, I don't know my schedule for my weekend. So maybe another time."

And I've already asked the same question a couple of times; his answers are almost the same. What's wrong? Why didn't he just refuse me or arrange a time for my visit?

What's the character of a typical American?

Please give me as much advice as you can on how to communicate with an American. Thank you in advance!

I think people who leave their poor innocent helpless dog outside even with a dog house should go to jail expecially when cold outside

Than I do those pertaining to my own? Is it a natural impulse of human reasoning to feel more proficient at solving the problems of others? It's as if I feel at ease when I know I can help another person with any particular dilemma.

Why are women less violent than men?

more women are being charged/convicted of violent crimes nowadays and are in prison for them but statistics still seem to bear out that many more men are charged/convicted and in prison for violent crimes.

IT SEEMS LIKE MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT COME HERE ARE IN THEIR TEENS. ARE THERE ANY ADULTS OVER THE AGE OF 30-50 YEARS OLD ? THE REASON I ASK IS THAT MOST OF THE ANSWERS ARE REALLY .....WELL.......CHILDISH. KIDS TRYING TO ACT LIKE ADULTS. DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE KIDS. BUT SOME OF THE ANSWERS REALLY SCARE ME. TROUBLED KIDS MAY COME HERE FOR ADVISE AND ALL THEY GET IS RUDE CRUEL ANSWERS.THAT ISN'T RIGHT. I JUST HOPE THAT THERE ARE ENOUGH OLDER PEOPLE HERE SO THE KIDS CAN GET SOME ADULT FEEDBACK. SOME OF THESE KIDS ARE VERY WISE FOR THEIR AGE...THANK GOODNESS. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE ANSWERING A TOUCHY QUESTION. YOU COULD CAUSE SOME SERIOUS PROBLEMS IF YOU GIVE UGLY ANSWERS. TRY TO ANSWER WITH KINDNESS. AND SOME OF THE QUESTIONS ARE SO STUPID THEY DON'T EVEN WARRANT AN ANSWER. WHEN GIVING ADVISE ALWAYS THINK TWICE.

I've been watching world's most amazing videos on spikeTV and these guys are so dumb. For example, they almost die doing a stunt and the majority of the time they try it again. They put they're lives on the line (very unlike firemen and policemen) so why should anyone care about them (family included) they don't care about their lives so why should anyone else.
