Internet for kids is OK only if they are supervised by an adult. Some Internet Service Providers provide Parental Controls so their parents can allow/approve the kids access to the internet including websites filtering. You can cehck out with your ISP if they have it available.

Internet is like anything else. It must have safe guards in place for children to use. It must have people watching out for our children. Yes, the Internet is good for kids, assuming there are ways to keep them from harm.

What Shayne said. I think all kids should have at least some internet access. It's the best learning tool there is since the invention of books.

I think it can be o.k. if you're supervising them. Our computer is in the kitchen and I am always around them...keeping an eye on them. Maybe they feel like they don't have any privacy..and maybe...I don't care. I figure when they are 18 and move out..and buy their own computer ...then they can have privacy...too many tricky weirdos out there...I try to keep them sheltered and safe.

As long as you censor it. There are to many ways for unattended children with uncensored content to view explicit content.
Be responsible for and protect your children by installing parental control on their computer first.

its fine if you watch where they go and what age my 4 year old gets on and plays on clever island.com all the time and he plays on the ZWINKYs all the time too there are places for children to go on like the ones i listed and there is nickeloden.com and nickjr for much younger children. and much more websites for kids. You just have to watch where they go.
