I grew up in Chicago, when I was in my 30's and married my 2nd hubby we lived in the country for about 4 years. We now live in a small-ish city and I totally miss being out in the sticks. The only thing I would miss about the city is the convenience of not having to drive so much.

I've lived in the country for so long now that I'm scared of the city.

Country. There are too many people in the city. It's never felt right to me.

In the city. I'm in the near-country right now, and I'm feeling smothered. I need people crowding the streets!

country! i would shrivel up and die in the city! i love vacationing and getting a hotel in the city, but I also look forward to going home and hearing the chickens in the coop and the cricket frongs croaking all night! and the crackle of a fire is the ultimate best! nothing in the city can compare to a fire of old scrap wood burning away....
