Is there anything in particular anybody uses to start conversation to get to know others better? I have found that for me, I usually don't know what to say around people I have just met so it's harder for me to make new friends, etc. On the other hand, I've seen some people meet totally new people and seem to be good friends within a few minutes. Can anybody offer any advice for me?

I would greatly appreciate any help!

I ask, because I've seen people referred to as Fascist for not being "perfectly" fair in chatrooms. People called Nazi for not bashing Bush, or whomever. I'd not be suprised if not bashing Clinton gets one called a Nazi. I've seen people defending Israel called Zionists. I've defended Israel. I even have Jewish relatives, but I don't believe in Zionism. I've also defended Palestine. Just what makes someone one of those things? Do I have to bash everyone on the opposite side of me or change sides?

Everybody does things that hurt others...we're all guilt of resentment, impatience, hatred... at various times in our lives. Most of us have been vengeful or said things that we knew would cause hurt. Many people cheat on their taxes, park in handicapped parking, cheat on their spouses...etc. We all do bad things sometimes, the difference is by degrees.

So at what point does someone become a bad person? And what's the standard to be qualified a 'good person'?

I'd rather see a ghost and I'll tell you why. I assume that in our infinetly large universe that aliens do exist but we just haven't crossed paths yet. But seeing a ghost would be proof that there is an after life, an alternate reality.

I am taken care of my husband's 93 yearold grandmother for two weeks. I am in an area where I do not know anyone. I am only 130lbs and don't think I would have enough streangth to get her up.

I have a 2 year old son and since he was just a baby we've always thought that he's seen ghost or,spirits(whatever you want to call them)When he was just a little baby he use to look up and wave or say bye bye.I asked the question about the dream yesterday and I don't know if this has anything to do with this but my son call monsters and scary things "scaries" and for the past 3 nights he's been seeing "scaries" in his room and he'll wake up early in the morning terrified and screaming.We took him to the doctor the first night because he wouldnt stop crying and they said he just had a bad dream.But last night he woke up screaming and he had a small scratch on his face and we're really not sure if he scratched himself or what.Could someone please try to give me some information about this or direct me to a site that could help me. Thank you all so much.

She has no wrinkles whatsoever! The body is already developed, i.e. it's almost the same for an 18 year old and a 25 year old!
I mean, if it was 18 year old girl and 40 year old woman, then coz of the wrinkles on the face and neck, the eyes kinda look tired too. But at that young age, what reveals that she's older?

(18 and 25 are just hypothetical examples!)

You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. This about the six day, and already the fires have comsumed over 180,000 hectares of bush, the frie fright can do nothing but to let it brun because it is so big all they can do is help to keep it away from houses in it path. today they are forccasting ectrene heat coupled with northerly winds, and now they have the task of keeping it away from various towns that are in its path and they are worried about the winds with embers which may start other fries so far there has been no life lost I as that you keep on praying , May God bless you all

Why have the forum to meet people.....
What is the purpose.......

Dont get me wrong .....I have a profile.....and friends.....and exchange comment and stuff.......but I dont know why I do.....

It seems silly....and self-important.....and really a place where everybody and their idiotic thoughts go to meet and post bulletins about their pitfull revealations.....and post information in the form of a blog.....which is just trying to make what ever it is their revealing in it seem more inportant then it is......

As a thought experiment, I wonder how the message behind 'brave new world' would change if instead--the follwing happened: a liberal nazi comes to rule the USA--where it depicts a gay nazi ruler of the 'world institution'

The world institution, is a reformed world order after the 'collapse' which woule have happened in 2018, after a skirmish with China over resources and global economic downturn after a nuclear detonation in Washington with no culprit in sight. In the downturn, there is a shortage of water in the midwest and California due to global warming, causes a cesation from the union, followed by Texas. Thus causing America to become the 'shattered Union.' The one who obtains power in America in the east, is a liberal professor who takes over the goverment and is an extremist, and tries to 'pacify' and 'sterilize' any threat to the already 'shattered union.'
