One of the major players in causing your junk mail is the United States Postal Service. The post office sells the list of names of people who fill out their moving packet. So don't fill that out!
Instead, fill out the temporary move packet. The post office is only going to forward your mail for a few months anyway. By putting yourself on the temporary move list, you will get your mail for a long enough time period to put in a change of address to those entities who you want to receive mail from.

You will have to send a letter to any company that you are currently conducting business and tell them to take you off their marketing lists.
As you receive junk mail from companies that use public records you can either mark on the envelope “REFUSED” and put back in the mail box (this will work in most cases) or you can send a letter to each company telling them to take you off their mailing list.

Never write DECEASED on your mail, unless you are. Doing so will eventually stop all your mail.

For a fee of a $1, you can fill out an application to have your name removed from mailing list.

There are so many different ways, but they all take work on your part. I wouldn't pay to have named removed. Hope this helps...Good Luck.

Sure, open them all, and the ones with free postage envolopes inside them place as many junk mail you can fit inside one of these enveloples and mail it off let these company. Let them get rid of their own trash for a change and see if they like it. Erase your name, but not necessary.
I wonder what the creit card company, would do if they got a mail in coupon say from a funeral home, see how they like junk mail.
Fight, the fight.....good luck.

Write 'deceased' on the outside of the letter and put it back in your mail box. Of course if you're living alone people might wonder about that....
