I am not saying any of you would do such a thing, but the pattern seems to be male. What is the reason for the school shootings? What part of the male brain says this is a response to anything? I just don't get it! I can't wrap my mind around this one. I understand why they do other violent things, but this????????

Just read about the guy who mowed down a bunch of amish schoolkids today. Why would somebody target the amish?? The ****** Baby Boomers and liberals closed down all of the insane asylums because it was deemed to be cruel to the inmates. So now we have these nuts running around free. Maybe they take their medication, maybe not. Lock the nuts away and I DON'T CARE IF IT IS CRUEL. I care about those poor amish families. We also need the death penalty everywhere. Enough already. You kill somebody and you did it purposely, you're dead. End of story. Life is NOT precious. There are too many of us, and we can do with weeding more than a few out.

I have 2 examples to offer which prompted this question.

1: Although I have never been a fan of Tom Cruise (he was neither box office draw nor box office poison for me), I find since his reeming of Brook Shields about Rx's (not a fan of Rx's either) I have no desire to see any of his movies. This may also be because only 3 of his movies I ever liked ((Risky Business, Top Gun (I watched it for Val Kilmer), MI:1).

2: I have been a big fan of Mel Gibson since the Mad Max days until around the time of The Patriot. The scene where he cried over the loss of his son seemed sooo over acted I began to loose interest. But I liked What Women Want. Anyway, since his recent DUI & accompanying verbal tirade he just bugs me. This also could be because he happens to be a member of the Brotherhood of Pope Pious X (I think that's the one) as is a friend of mine & my friend keeps trying to ram the 'Brotherhood' down my throat. He once bragged Mel was a 'brother' as if to impress me.

I'd like to be a trapeze artist or a snake charmer, or maybe the lady who sells funnel cakes. How about you? Any lion tamers out there?

How many of you, those who actually smoke enjoy the cigarette? How many of you were influenced by any film star smoking on the silver screen and how many of you feel smoking should be banned from all movies.
One final question - if by circumstances ( cancer for example ) one had to stop smoking how many ( thruthfully please ) would say that they would revert to smoking if they had been cured totally and were now like their original selves?

Why is it today, the way our parents and grandparents were raised and disciplined is viewed negatively. No one wants to discipline the "old way". But, if you think about it, they turned out fairly well. Our elders are gentle, friendly, faith believers but young people today are running rampade doing what they wish.
Is society today afraid our of young. Do we really care about their futures? If they are to be the leaders of tomorrow, we need to guide them in the right path.
If it worked for past generations, IT WILL WORK today!

This comes from a 27yr old female. : )

My best friend adopted a very cute 3 yrs golden lab male named Henry. The problem is after 4 months Henry attacked my best friends 4 year old daughter severely but not life threatening....Thank god....... It all happened when the 4 yr old slapped Henry and my best friend told her daughter to stop hitting the dog but a couple of days later she unfortunately didn't listen and hit Henry again. and Henry finally Snapped .I believe this poor dog needs a real chance since he never had one to begin with .So i asked my friend to give Henry to me instead of murdering the dog.she said yes....But the next day she came to my house demanding the dog back ....to murder the poor dog.I said........ NO NEVER...... now she will not talk to me.What should i do?

That's what I always have heard them called. I'm referring to the ones on the lower back and right above the butt.

You can't see them yourself and others can't see them unless you're bending over or are wearing a swimsuit or something similarly revealing.

Are they, in fact, purely for the benefit of others, since you can't see them yourself? I suppose the same reasoning would apply to ones on your back or shoulders?

My boyfriend and his friends are all around 30 y/o and they were having a guys night out. I decided to give myself a facial and pedi/mani and have a quite night at home. My bf decided to park his car at my place and he came up to use the washroom and his friends came too. Normally I wouldn't have cared but I had green guck all over my face and was walking around with toe seperators. He used his key and before I knew it I was standing face to face with 4 guys and they all started laughing and calling me names like Swamp Thing. I have a good sence of humor so it didn't really bother me and I laughed it off. I just want to know why guys are so immature.

I don't have one and have nothing at all against those who have a few (I don't understand having your body covered in them though!).

I'm debating getting a modest sized one, less than palm sized, in a non-obtrusive place such as my upper arm or shoulder.

I know the biblical implications of marking your body and that argument carries zero weight with me. I also would make sure the artist was reputable and sanitary.

What are your thoughts and/or advice, especially from those already inked, about someone getting their first one?
