It depends on your home situation. Sooner or later you need to grow up and fly the nest. The timing of that depends on your maturity level, your ability to earn money, your home life, your family, and your goals and aspirations.

Personally I couldn't wait to move out and live in the real world (despite having great parents). I moved out at 19 and rented a tiny apartment.

Oh it is sooo much better to stay at home for a little and save money!! Trust me, I did the move out thing cause I thought I'd be okay living paycheck to paycheck, but jeez...after a couple of months of eating beanies and weenies, you wish you would have stayed home!! Save money - living paycheck to paycheck really truly sucks!!

I would never move back home...I moved out at 18 and never went back...not even when I was broke...If your parents are really cool and will leave you aloneand not try and treat you like they did in high school...then maybe....but only if your still in college or under 22 years old...any older than that...you just need to suck it up and get your own life

live home and save money first, then move out when you have enough to cover at least 6 months of rent. also its better to purchase then to rent.

It's better to live at home and save money... just alot of people can't do that. There is always something to spend your money on.

If you and your parents don't mind the situation, then by all means save the money, cuz baby, later on, life is gonna smack you upside the head, and it is nice to have a little cash to fight back. This is guaranteed.

Move out. It teaches you resposability and it'll motivate you to get ahead. You'll also enjoy the freedom!
